Social Profile:

OTOTO is the latest addition to the Sushi Den and Izakaya Den restaurant family, offering a more casual ambience, raw bar and Japanese bar food, as well as a premium sake list. While Izakaya is called Sushi Den’s big sister restaurant, OTOTO in Japanese means “younger brother”. Together they form a trifecta to honor Japanese cuisine on the “Den Corner”.

Hip & sleek Japanese haunt featuring traditional small plates, skewered meats, sashimi & cocktails.

Had an amazing dinner at OTOTO! Everything from grilled dishes and the dessert was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were so kind and attentive, making the experience even better. The cozy, intimate atmosphere and open kitchen make it feel like a hidden gem in the city. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine!

This place was top notch. Huge shoutout to Mariel for incredibly friendly service and the best recommendations. The aburi toro and pork belly skewers were delicious to the point I had to get seconds of the aburi toro. I also really liked the crispy tuna and aburi hotate. The cocktails were delicious. Would absolutely recommend for a nice date night or friends gathering.

First time checking this spot out. Far exceeded any expectations we had. My wife and I loved the bar top by the kitchen and were drawn into almost feeling a part of the kitchen while eating the food. Great time, great food, great vibes.

Wonderful spot for delicious Japanese food. While we’ve been going here for a while, we recently tried their different brunch options, including fresh toast and ube pancakes, which we cannot recommend enough! Staff is always friendly and service is top notch!

I loved their food! I had squid and it was perfectly cooked, tender and deliciously seasoned. Short ribs too, they were saucy and soft.
Their happy hour is pretty good. We tried eggplant and was soft and the sauce was yummy. Their brussel sprouts were crispy, but just the shell.
We also ordered a Branzino fish grilled it looked good, but was kind of dry and didn’t have much flavor to it.
The banana cake was very delicious and not super sweet. For the amount of food and drinks we had, it was a decent price. I will be back!

Absolutely love Ototo! We live in the neighborhood and go here frequently. I personally dream about the garlic pork rice and amberjack collar 🙂 the staff is super friendly, service is great, food is consistent, drinks are great and the atmosphere is lovely. We also can usually walk in and get a table or seat at the bar for 2 people. I will say I mostly enjoy their small plates or big dishes over their sushi…but it’s all good!! The eel nigiri is amazing too!

What a comforting and delicious dining atmosphere. Every plate we had was so fresh and executed really well. I loved the assortment they had available on the menu and the ramen noodles were out of this world. I’d definitely recommend dining here as soon as possible… Friendly staff and great service! We made a reservation and that made the entire experience very stress free. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been coming here about every month for more than a year now. It’s our favorite restaurant in Denver. The food, vibe, and staff are just amazing. We’ve gotten pretty much everything on the menu- ramen, brunch, sushi, dessert. You literally can’t go wrong. But this place is our go to for ramen, especially on a winter day

The menu online is not up to date, nor was the paper menu we were given when we sat down. My food was inaccurate from the menu to the table, like missing ingredients such as the olives in the salad posted as well as peppers and onions in the potatoes on another dish and a sauce no longer available for the beef skewers. There were a few beef items that could have had a choice on level of doneness as well. The service was good but for such a highly rated restaurant I’d expect a little more knowledge, and consistency, on the menu.

Walked in on a Sunday night and were happy with the experience. The staff was so nice and made solid recommendations. Enjoyed the wine List – this is always the toughest grade from me because so many places make zero effort finding enjoyable good, affordable wine. We really loved the taste of sashimi. It was super fresh, delicate and so yummy! The Ototo roll, edamame, and goyza – were so good. The pork garlic rice was outstanding with great presentation and incredible flavors. The deep fried chicken thighs were disappointing but the meal overall was excellent and we look forward to eating here again soon.
