We were coming home from a road trip and decided to pull off in San Angelo for a bite to eat. The curious name “señor Chang’s” drew us in. We were greeted by a very quick witted and charming host who took our order and pointed to the owner who was in the open kitchen working alongside his staff.
It’s a fast casual restaurant, but there were a number of staff present and each was very friendly and very helpful.
I got the fajita salad with chicken and shrimp. My husband got the trip rice bowl (3 meats).
Portions were generous. Presentation was aesthetically pleasing. The chicken was tender. The zucchini was cooked to perfection. My salad had a dusting of cotija cheese Which, Along with the house jalapeño cilantro dressing elevated it Several notches above the usual meat on salad meal.
The decor is sort of industrial funk And was clearly chosen with care.
Overall, a great experience!

It was very disappointed tonight. I was excited to share this place with my significant other and it was disappointing. We love mushrooms and ordered extra, but they not only didn’t give us extra, they didn’t give us the ones that come with the meal! Their solution was for us to drive all the way back to get them. It’s cold and we barely wanted to get out the first time.

A pleasant surprise during our road trip. It’s an interesting concept of Asian fusion. For the price the portions are actually pretty generous, I could save half for later. You can customize the bowls a bit as well for spice level and if you want it teriyaki or not
If you’re driving through Big Spring it’s worth making a stopover!

Nice open restaurant. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. Nice vibes in seating area. You can watch the chefs prepare meals…it smells so good. Menu has some awesome options including eggrolls.Got the spicy teriyaki chicken hibachi. It was spicy but not blow your taste buds off spicy . The highlight of the plate is the fried rice. It is some of the best in town. Tender, flavorful, plentiful, buttery. The veggies were broccoli and zucchini. They had just the right of of crunch and yet still manage to give a tender bite.

Good food, great family-friendly service, crazy big portions. This place is always knocking it out of the park in quality of service, ingredients, and food. Always coming up with great desert options as well.

After moving back to town, remembering how good Senor Changs was before, thought I’d try it out.. Very disappointed. Nothing like I had before. The steak was severely overcooked. Some pieces were so tough I couldn’t finish chewing. My jaws got too tired! Not in a hurry to go back.

I’m here for a work trip, and I love little local restaurants. You’re always surprised. I always say to myself when trying new Asian restaurants that you can’t mess up fried rice. Man, this is the most delicious fried rice I’ve had. The veggies in it are so fresh. The shrimp is succulent. The mushrooms are perfect. The flavor, omg to die for. I don’t even need soy sauce, which is kinda rare for me. This is perfect!
