I had a rather wonderful dinner at this hotel/restaurant and as usual the company I had was the main ingredient. However, a lackluster restaurant experience can ruin that quite easily and Sendero proved to be above and beyond exemplary in it’s cuisine, atmosphere and hospitality!
I can’t recommend this place enough especially after a sunset viewing just across the road on Guinones Beach! Make a reservation even if you’re not staying at the hotel and check them out. It’s a worthwhile experience if you’re just visiting.

Fun restaurant with a great vibe. We order chicken and the fish dishes. The cooking itself was pretty good, but I find the flavour blend. Service was pretty good.
I would encourage the restaurant to use more spices and try different flavours. Maybe they are trying to appeal to European visitors where Salt and pepper is the only seasoning they know?

Sendero Kitchen delivers every time and is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Nosara. The crispy tuna rice is a must-get and was perfectly crunchy and fresh, the beet salad was vibrant and flavorful, and the gnocchi was rich, pillowy, and unforgettable. The ribeye was also a standout. And the service truly sets this place apart: the servers actually learn your names and strike that rare balance of being genuinely warm and consummate professionals. An easy five stars.
