Pretty good-average sushi that I get on a Seh-mi regular schedule but I was never compelled to write a review until I received these pathetic little end roll pieces in my spicy combo. I’ve eaten sushi a lot of places and never seen any piece be so small or wimpy. Nice people working there

Sushi rice recipe is pretty standard. The rice portion is just right for a bit size. The fillet cut is good size. Width and length and thickness is okay.
The restaurant decor is a bit dated. Washroom cleanness is okay

We keep trying different dishes and rolls and they’re always amazing.
Family loves coming here and I’m init for the tuna baby! The sashimi is always firm and tender and FRESH!
One of the rolls was a bit too much of a mouthful and it’s always awkward trying to bite them in half. It just falls apart on your plate. But still delicious.

Fresh, authentic so satisfying. Informal, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service. Top notch! We finally found the BEST Sushi in Courtenay! I wish I would have taken some photos but we were too busy devouring with complete glee:)

Pretty fresh fish. It is a blend of mostly Japanese but also some Korean dishes on the menu. Very family friendly/a lot of options to choose from. Feels more like Japanese-western family fast food than a sophisticated Japanese dining experience, but pretty good for a small town 🙂

Wonderful meal. Service was fast and food was hot and delicious. Waited until we were about 1/2 through our meal to ask if they could start preparing the take-out order I asked for, and it was ready a few minutes before we were done. Got back to hotel and it was still piping hot. Great price too for all the food we got. Waitresses were very friendly too. A must visit.

5-Star SUPERB sushi and sashimi!!
I had sushi dinner here with my wife last Saturday, and it was awesome. Their sushi and sashimi were fresh and tasted delicious!
I can say with all confidence that this hidden gem in Courtenay has without a doubt become our ‘go-to’ sushi spot!

The assortment of sashimi was one of the best dishes on the menu, and there was a nice variety of rolls as well. The spicy tuna roll was too salty, but everything else was well and evenly flavoured. Nice restaurant that I would recommend trying out!

Food was delicious and fresh. We ordered the gyoza, mixed tempura and sushi combo. The price was more than fair. Should have taken pictures but we were hungry and the food just disappeared. Will definitely be back again soon.
