What a great little seafood restaurant – we had delicious gumbo, a fresh caprese salad, the shrimp & crab dinner and grilled rainbow trout – all cooked perfectly with great flavor! The restaurant is family-owned and the staff was so sweet – I love that the entrees are served with a slice of watermelon in honor of the founding chef (see picture). We finished the night with bread puddling and will be back again soon!

I really liked the coziness of this place, the Gumbo was excellent, but I loved the rice they use to add to the Gumbo. The grains were slender and cooked to perfection. The lump crab meat was great cold. I tried someone at my table that got the sautéed, and I preferred the cold. The onion rings were quite filling, the vegetable medley was everything you could ask for in a sautéed vegetable medley, squash, onions, spinach, and more. Would love to go back. Just a warning that there are no prices on the menu, so, most price points are $28-$38 for an entree. The service was great, bar is stocked.

Honestly I really wanted to give this place less than 1. we went on Valentine’s Day and majority of the selection was out at 7pm insane to be honest when it’s Valentine’s Day and that’s peak dinner time. Server didnt even greet us when coming to the table, we weren’t told what was out before ordering, and randomly left in the middle of taking our order to return 10 minutes later to finish the order (10 people max in the whole place). The filet was almost raw when it got to us. Quality of the food and the service was not even remotely worth the price.

From the moment Angela greeted us until we said our goodbyes our experience was like no other! The food was savory and perfectly cooked and plated. The gumbo is a “must have”. Should you have a salad don’t miss their house blue cheese vinaigrette! We shared an out of this world bread pudding with whiskey sauce and a dense intensely flavored chocolate mousse pudding. This small quaint venue embraces you as you enjoy the treats before you!

The food was delicious. The gumbo was fabulous. Then the seafood platter was delicious. I will definitely visit them again. Just remember to make a reservation.

Went here for a business lunch and I wasn’t a fan of some of the food items. Place is clean but whoever came up with the menu needs to be fired.

I ordered the Crab Claws and they literally took the fingertips (just the tips!) and breaded them. No one thought to attach the leg? It was as if to say, “Oh they don’t need all this meat just the tips!!!” Not what I was expecting but ok.

Needless to say I was still hungry so I ordered the seafood platter which to my surprise was just 3 different types of shrimp with three pieces of breading on the side! I’m not against their menu items, I just thought I should warn people so they don’t make the mistakes I did. This is not a restaurant if your hungry= Don’t Eat, “Taste”.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed like family. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure my experience was top-notch. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

But let’s talk about the real star: the food! Segari’s doesn’t disappoint. I dove into a rich and flavorful gumbo – a true classic perfectly executed. The stuffed shrimp were divine – plump, juicy, and bursting with deliciousness. And the sautéed seafood dish? Wow! Fresh, perfectly cooked seafood in a light and flavorful sauce. Every bite was a party in my mouth.

Segari’s is a hidden gem that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. Amazing food, fantastic service, and a genuine warmth that makes you feel right at home. Don’t miss this Houston treasure!

If I could give less than 1 star for the way the waitress treated the kitchen staff I would. Horrible waitstaff. Yelling at kitchen staff so loudly we could hear it from the dining room room. After confronting the waitress we were told the yelling was due to kitchen not packaging the leftovers correctly. We tipped the kitchen staff over the waitress and will not return. There is always room for kindness.

The crab meat cocktail was amazing. Huge chunks and tasted super fresh. The redfish was also great. Overall food was wonderful and in line with other upscale establishments. I knocked a star off because we weren’t given a wine list until I asked and also the menu has no prices. I can understand steaks and lobsters being market price or something but there’s no price even on sides. Comes off as pretentious. And yes I can afford it but if you’re paying for others it makes them uncomfortable to not know before ordering.
