Secret Savory is a Thai restaurant on Market in Ballard. Parking around here can be tough so be prepared to walk a bit. Inside they have about a dozen tables or so. Their menu is pretty big, with prices being pretty decent for the portion sizes you get. The service is ok, it took about 20 minutes for someone to even take our drink order. The food though is great, probably top 3 Thai places in Seattle. Their curries are delicious and even their drinks are awesome, and very well priced. Overall a solid spot for dinner or even a date night.

Enjoyed meal, for the most part.
Loved the noodle dish, loved the chicken wings. My curried seafood dish was tasty except that my seafood coulda/should been less over cooked therefore it was more chewy than expected. Nice clean establishment with friendly service.

The vibe of this spot tucked in behind some shops was nice. Cocktails were tasty if maybe a little light. Chinese Broccoli = Chicken Pad Thai = ♂️
Although it’s kinda my fault for getting the most generic dish, it didn’t have much flavor. I’d definitely eat here again, but it’s nothing to write home about.

Our meal here was great! The crispy savory chicken was so tender, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The green beans were amazing as well as the Thai garlic chicken. They were very accommodating to my cousin who has to eat gluten free. The drinks are good too! If you’re in Ballard and want to eat some yummy Thai food, come here!

Tom yum was delicious. Fried crab wasn’t great because it mostly just tasted like fried dough, and there wasn’t much crab meat inside if any at all.

Dropped in here for dinner and it was not a great experience. The service was not great. The food was also not the best. We were a group of 4 and we got the mushroom appetizer (Secret Mushroom Crunch) which was good, khao soi which wasn’t up to the mark , crab fried rice which was decent and the panang curry which was an extreme disappointment. Asked for the spice level 5 for this and it seemed like they just added chilli or chilli powder rather than making it spicy and flavourful. Have had much better Thai food in Seattle.

A definite must if you are in the Seattle area. This is a true Thai experience. You will not find food like this anywhere else. Even the Thai tea is not super sweet. It is just right and you can taste the tea.

This is not your average Thai place! Secret Savory had a lot of fun twists or added complexity based on a certain region on Thailand. The food and drinks were sooooo good! Definitely try the crunchy mushrooms, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff and atmosphere were lovely too. I’ll definitely be back

This place was a nice surprise in Ballard area. The ambience is very casual and simple. The concept of offering dishes from various regions of Thailand with a map and codes for the regions was a plus. The portions are generous and reasonably priced for the amount. We wanted to try dessert but we were full. Mango sticky rice sounds like a must-try per Yelp reviews. We would go back to try other dishes and the desert.
We had the Kor-lar chicken as an appetizer. this one was small, and thai spicy herbal and savory galangal sauce those the dishes were huge. Nothing was spicy, and everything was delicious.

Amazing delicious Thai food that brings you decidedly away from the usual North American styled Thai food. The limited time fried curry Kabocha squash had an excellent crunch and relaxed flavour paired with a quality sauce. Both the Pad See Ew and basil fried rice can be found on other menus but these pumped up and presented a depth of more authentic Thai flavour than I’ve seen at many other restaurants. Service was very good and the restaurant relaxed even on a weekend night.
