As an original 1ST SEAFOOD lover, I was disappointed in the chicken fried rice and cost of a fish/shrimp plate. The chicken fried rice is NOTHING like it was when the parents ran the business, I’m not sure if it includes gravy or gunk from the boiled chicken but never again. Catfish is still pretty good, while the shrimp lacked flavor. For $15 , I’ll stick to TPs where you can purchase a full, well prepared catfish with fries and salad. The children of the owners lost the recipe and love their parents had.

This used to be my first choice. Now, it’s my second or third. Fish & shrimp are edible. That fried rice is dull & bland. No egg, no vegetables. Just rice beans sprouts & onions. But I dare not do the salad or fries. I usually just get fish no sides. Photo has soy sauce on the rice.

The fried rice was the worst I’ve ever tasted. It wasn’t edible, the fish while fried well was very much over seasoned. I’d been to this place several times in years past. Under a different name and always enjoyed it. Not sure if this is a totally new ownership group or what. But I’ve had my last meal here.

I’ve been going here for a good while. I love it and everyone that works there. Having had the opportunity to eat different foods around the world. I was excited to have the opportunity to tryout their newest menu item – lo mein (added today)!
It really is one of the best I’ve ever had!
The blends of pepper and vegetables, that Melissa put together, are great! It is a much need addition to an already notorious menu.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! He’s alway rude! The man that works there with the glasses has a TERRIBLE attitude and has for years! I have OVERLOOKED HIS ATTITUDE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS! This time was the last time for me…I called back to let him know that the fish I received was only 1/4 in size! THEY ARE NOT FULL SIZE FILLETS! This man had the audacity to YELL AT ME ABOUT MY FISH THAT I WAS LOOKING AT IN MY PLATE!! He REFUSED to take any accountability nor did he apologize! Sad thing is that we have SUPPORTED this company since they were located on BLUE RIDGE AND FUQUA! The customer service has COMPLETELY gone to HELL!! We will no longer support this company! Your parking lot use to be so full we had to park around the side of the building! You should really question yourself about why your business has slowed down!!!!

Got the chicken wings with fried rice with chicken wings were delicious. Also order pork fried rice the rice was a little mushy and the only Port that you get it’s whatever they put on top of the rice it’s not mixed. So far would recommend the chicken wings in the egg rolls.

Excellent price for cornmeal (very rare) fried shrimp and catfish. If you enjoy seasoning, you’ve GOTTA grab the shaker on the table in the lobby and toss they stuff on your fries, shrimp and catfish. It’s GOOD!

BACKGROUND: I have been buying from this establishment for decades. Even when located in Briargate, off Fuqua.
ORIGINAL OWNERS: Great food. Great service.
RECENTLY: I lived in a city 40 mins away and would frequently order from 2nd Seafood, pick up my staple, exchange pleasantries and enjoy.
FUTURE: New Ownership (family owned) … I shall NOT return.
I was told by the management (nephew)… “you should have bought back what you got from the us (yesterday, 8pm at night) so we could show the suppliers.”
I showed “management”/this gentlemen pictures of the dinner placed the night before and they told me…”sometimes the suppliers issue a bad box…we can give you 1/2 off price of today’s order.”
But I PAID, no questions asked, FULL PRICE for prior food!. Never received the fish ordered.
