I went here for the first time tonight and had possibly the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I ordered the seaweed salad and the cashier asked me what dressing I wanted. I was a little confused since seaweed salad doesn’t have dressing, its just seaweed and cucumber and the glaze. The cashier said its required to pick one so I did since I figured the POS just requires it, no big deal. When we got our food I was even more confused to see a clump of NORMAL seaweed salad tossed on top of some lettuce, I have never seen it this way in my life and this is not how its made normally; but I once again wasn’t going to make a fuss. I then opened the spicy tuna roll I ordered and was hit with the smell of old fish. The tuna was grey and smelled and as someone who eats sushi often I knew it was bad. At that point I went to ask for a refund, the food runner said to me in a very rude way that “that’s just how we do our salads” and I said fair enough I should’ve asked, but I still wanted a refund for the Tuna since I was NOT gonna eat something that would make me sick. The food runner went to the back and loudly asked what was wrong with the tuna, picked it up and smelled it, etc, then came back and said it was like that because of the mixture they use to make it spicy tuna. Thats absolutely incorrect, spicy mayo wouldn’t make the tuna GREY and FISHY smelling. I said I would just like a refund and she got her manager, who I then had to explain to again why I didn’t want the roll, she then proceeded to say IN FRONT IF ME that “some people don’t know what they want or what they order” and just mumbled about me IN FRONT OF MY FACE. I told her its not a matter of taste this is about the tuna being bad, and she argued with me saying that “You’re saying we serve bad food and we dont we come in every morning and prep”, I told her Im not insinuating anything about her business I just politely asked for a refund because I dont want to eat BAD TUNA, which I don’t think is unreasonable? The manager and cashier also laughed at me because when i explained for the 10th time that the tuna was GREY and smelled OLD AND FISHY, they laughed and said “its fish!!” Tuna grade fish has to be FRESH because its being served RAW, it can’t sit all day in the fridge it will start to decompose. I genuinely cant believe that I was argued with over something as simple as this and told that I dont know what Im talking about when seaweed salad and spicy tuna rolls are my favorite food and I eat it at minimum 5 times a month. If you want good Japanese food go to Tokyo Japanese restaurant by the hospital.

I understand this isn’t completely the businesses fault, but I ordered a bowl that I thought was a medium size but i accidentally ordered a junior. I thought it was a medium because it was $16. I went back and the worker basically said they can’t do anything about it because it was through uber. I understand but it would have been nice for her to just remake a medium for me since I spent nearly double the amount for half the food. I work in costumer service and have always remade it even if it was on them , just the right thing to do 🙁

Everything was great until
I looked at my food. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and was handed 8 hunks of tuna sloppily groped with rice squirted with siracha sauce on top. Genuinely a toddler could have done this better. This is not the fault of the workers but of a failing of whoever approved of this menu. No texture no flavor no curing of the meat. Will not be returning to any location of seasons of Japan.

I just had the most horrible experience with this Seasons of Japan. I would not recommend ordering over the phone or even through DoorDash as I have made this mistake on lucky 10/10. I have an extremely arrogant and rude manager at this establishment to thank for this utter mistake I have made. The best I would cogitate about this service is that I did not get to experience such tasteless human behavior in person.

This place seems to be a very popular, local place for quick-service rice bowls and sushi.
I got the Monster Roll and the another deep fried roll. They seem to all come in to-go containers with packets of wasabi and ginger. Although I didn’t try out the side packets, the sushi wasn’t bad. I’d recommend the Monster Roll over the other one I ordered.
The service was okay. It is all meant to be quick service, so you order at the counter and wait to pick up your food.
The atmosphere is busy and unremarkable. People are constantly coming to pick up their orders. There are drinks and plastic forks at the side. My favorite part of the restaurant is the self-serve station of yum-yum sauce.
Overall, would recommend for quick, to-go sushi.

A wonderful place..except my son ordered the wrong thing and so we returned it and asked for a calfornia roll, cause you know a 9yr old will only eat what he likes. It took us 30 minutes to get it. I felt like I had to wait out of spite.

Always a good experience here… except the refusal to remove the broccoli in the super bowls. I despise broccoli and can still taste it when removing it.. othen than this love the food.

Seasons of Japan is always a solid choice! The food is fresh, tasty, and comes out fast. Portions are big for the price, and the menu has a little bit of everything including hibachi, sushi, and bowls. The staff is friendly and the service is consistent every time I’ve been. Definitely one of the best spots in Statesboro for a quick and delicious meal.
