Seaside S.O.B Oyster Bar absolutely delivered.

We arrived just in time for social hour and went with the pick-3 platter with fries—double fried shrimp and boneless catfish. The shrimp were the perfect size and fried just right, and the catfish was cornmeal-battered exactly like grandmother used to make. Comfort food done right.

Social hour was a win across the board. Old Fashioneds were $6, made with Four Roses as the well bourbon—no shortcuts there. Even better, the food came out before the cocktails and our awesome server Bethany noticed immediately and offered another round at the social hour price. That kind of attentiveness goes a long way.

The vibe is spot-on. Music was playing at just the right level—enough to make you bob your head without taking over the room. Little details stood out too, like the malt vinegar served in a small dropper when my wife asked for it—simple, thoughtful, and fun.

For two drinks and the pick-3, our total was $43, which feels like an absolute steal for the quality, service, and atmosphere. Bonus points: they also offer sushi and kid-friendly non-seafood options, so it works for everyone.

Zero complaints. We’re fans—and we’ll be back.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch for our first experience and glad we finally did!

We were seated after a very brief wait and ordered a small plate of hush puppers, lunch fish and grits and a lunch Po Boy with shrimp and fries.

The butter for the hush puppers was so good..sweet with a small kick – the jalapeno in the puppers gave just enough heat to complement the deliciously crisp, light batter of the pupper. The fish and grits were amazing – the gouda cheese enhances the dish and is so smoky and comforting. The shrimp on the Po Boy was light and delicious. The french bread was fresh and the fries were perfectly simple, crispy and so good. All food was absolutely delicious and so flavorfull!! Very generous portions and visually beautiful overall.

Our next visit may very well include something from the drink menu!

First off, the bartender knew how to make a real drink. My mom was pleasantly surprised her Long Island wasn’t watered down per the norm in Barrow restaurants. The fried green tomatoes were a hit with everyone-not soggy, the pickled onions and sweet jalapeños with them were amazing. All the entrees exceeded expectations. But as a fish and chip girl-this is the place. I got the fish and chips and chips. Substituted the house chips for viet slaw. I will probably get this again..and again. The cod was thick, flaked right, juicy mild fish flavor. Three big pieces-I got full! Slaw and tartar sauce were perfect paired with the grilled lemon squeezed over it and the malt vinegar-perfection. The viet slaw was my fav-I liked the vinegar base and not mayo drenched. Yummy fries!!! The blackened red fish tacos and mint julep-excellent per daughter! My mom loved her raw oysters-they were fresh and she will be back for more. The Cobb salad was one of the best I’ve seen-above and beyond on that. I hate I didn’t try the hush puppies but I will next time!

The Seaside Oyster Bar is one of my favorite spots in Bethlehem. The food is always fresh and excellent, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. The entire staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming every time I visit.

A special thank-you to Maria, the head server—her service is consistently outstanding. She remembers details, anticipates what you need, and makes every visit feel personal and relaxed. It’s rare to get that level of care so consistently.

Great food, great people, and exceptional service—this place never disappoints.

First time in and everything was above phenomenal! As someone who frequently is around the coast getting freshly prepared seafood, this place is on point all the way. I honestly can not be happier about our experience here tonight. And to top it all off, we had the best server we’ve had in a very long time! Bethany goes above and beyond, is friendly and outgoing. She was on top of drinks and checking in at the perfect times. I truly could go on and on about all the good things here! You wo t be sorry coming here for great food, and ask for Bethany!

My husband, daughter and I ate here today for Valentine’s Day and it was very nice. Great food and great service. Kaycie was our server and she was awesome. There were other staff/servers who also checked on us to make sure all was well and since it was Valentine’s, one staff was giving out cute bags with goodies and taking couple’s pictures to give them an instant photo. The restaurant was decorated very nice for the occasion also. Music and the atmosphere made for great family conversation. Appetizers and meals were delicious. Everyone was very welcoming. Upon leaving, we were taking family pics in front of 1 of the holiday displays and a staff person offered to take a picture of the entire family for us. I highly recommend this restaurant to others and definitely plan to return.

We were driving down the highway looking for a quick nom after a day at the park and I came across seaside and I wondered could a seafood restaurant in Bethlehem really be as good as the reviews ?

After a sampling of oysters muscles and a few other items I can say with arfthority that this is a chef driven place with interesting flavor combos that all really work together in a symphony.

Great option for a date night or to celebrate something for the lover of seafood in your life

I can want to return and try some more items .

Awesome spot in Bethlehem! I always wanted to try this place and I finally decided to go one Sunday evening with my daughter. I am so glad we did! The inside was very clean and nice but we decided to sit outside because it was a nice evening and the ambiance was so pretty! They have string lights, a tabletop fireplace and a nice sofa seating area. We sat at a table nearby. We had quick and friendly service. The waitress was very knowledgeable and offered some great recommendations. I would highly recommend the New Orleans style oysters (soo good! I wanted another serving), the fried green tomatoes
( they have this unique taste to them that I fell in love with..pickled onions and this great dipping sauce just pulls it all together),…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Catfish and grits!!! I got mine without bacon because I don’t eat meat but oh my goodness that dish is Delicious! Not everyone can make grits that taste like they came from your mom’s kitchen on a Sunday morning but I’m telling you now those grits are creamy with just the right amount of Gouda cheese. Omygoodness I’m in love lol
They give you a very nice sized catfish and it was fried to perfection. The pic will speak for itself. I got one of their specialty mixed drinks. It wasn’t as sweet as I hoped it would be but I like really sweet drinks. The drink was good tho.
My daughter opted for dessert. I don’t know how she had room for it lol
She got their crème brûlée. I tasted a little and boy was that the icing on the cake! Our night was filled with such delightful food and ambiance. Two of my favorite things! Oh and Amazing customer service! The manager even came out and welcomed us and told us about the loyalty program they have. Every time you purchase anything from them using I believe your phone number, you receive points. Definitely ask about the loyalty program!
A few weeks later someone ordered me lunch from here. I tried the Asian glazed salmon and that was really good as well! SOB’s is great! I highly recommend this place!
