Came to South Carolina for graduation and wanted some good soul food with a touch of seafood. So glad we found this spot! At first, we were a little skeptical since, coming from ATL, the food hasn’t always been great when we travel. But on our last night here, Seaside Bar & Grill blew us away—EVERYTHING was absolutely BOMB! Thank you for such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!

It was our first time at the Seaside Bar and Grill. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but the food was nothing to write home about. Here’s our take:
Bang Bang Calamari – Good and crispy, but not enough kimchi. The bang bang sauce tasted like the bottled stuff in grocery stores.
Shrimp Burger – Heavily breaded and oily, the patty tasted more of fillers and less of shrimp. Would have benefited from some creole or bay or any seasoning. The bun and fries were okay.
Southwest Salad – This salad has become so ubiquitous in recent years that I can’t understand how a restaurant can mess it up. This one had too much cheese and red onions, not enough black beans or tomatoes, no cilantro or spring onions, topped with dried out grilled chicken and dressed in what tasted like watered down mayo.
In all fairness, their service was fast and the prices are good. But 4.5 it is not. if you’re looking for good quality Southern food, this is not it. Chain restaurants like Tupelo Honey or mom and pop places in Charleston/Savannah are far better.

One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Any of the blackened seafood dishes are excellent. Great fried green beans and collard greens. The banana pie is to die for. And you have to get a Long Island iced tea…Keke makes the best. As good as the food was, the staff was even better. So friendly and fun to talk too. Gave it 5 stars but would have given 10 if I could.

During the holiday season I planned a neighborhood gathering at, Seaside Grill. On shrimp night, Wednesdays I made a reservation for 20 folks. I made a deposit in which I received a voucher for credit towards my tab.
A clear and helpful explanation was given by a young, cheerful lady which I do believe was the Asst. Mgr. who was also our server. The seating was set upon arrival with plenty of room.
Serves was prompt. Now, this was separate checks but ordering and serving of the meal was performed perfectly.
The food was great, seasoned well and hot.
Plenty of sides were offered and drinks
mixed well and enjoyed. Thank you to the bartender!

Oh my word!! If you are in the area and don’t come here, you are missing out! Amazing food!! I tried the Creole Shrimp and Rice and the green, white and blue salad. Recommended. Ask for Charmaine, she was amazing!

At first glance it’s very unassuming and casual which was great for our family of 5 (kids ages 4,6 and 16). We weren’t able to make reservations as they were booked for the evening, but the woman greeted us and we were sat within 5 minutes of arrival. The service was great, we were able to put our order in quickly and Q sent our app order to the kitchen right away. The apps came out quick and everyone loved the hush puppies and calamari. The little ones shared an order of fried fish which they devoured and the 16 year old got a burger which was huge and she enjoyed. I got the crab cakes and they were good and my husband got the pork which he also liked. I have nothing but praise for this spot. It was perfect for a dinner off the island (we were staying at Fripp for the week), super casual, great food. Good service. Perfect little off the beaten path beach restaurant. I highly recommend! I will say I read the reviews prior to going and saw some not great ones so we were a little nervous but gave it a shot anyway. We were impressed and I had to share! This place needs more love! I only wish I took more photos to share!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I had the tequila sunrise (a bit too sweet for my liking;8/10), a long island iced tea(10/10 ),and the fried shrimp(10/10 ) w/fries(8/10). Our server was very sweet and had a bubbly personality too! I came in late to join my party, so I didnt catch her name. But I highly recommend! I believe they also do Karaoke!

I didn’t expect much coming in here but the food speaks for itself. Last time I was in Beaufort I was having bad luck everywhere I ate and this made up for it. My food was wonderful and arrived quickly. Our service was so friendly as well. Worth the trip out to St. Helena for some blackened shrimp!

Seriously good food! The best crab bisque we’ve ever had!! Loaded with crab. The gator bites were delicious and came out super fast. Everything was really good!
