I went to the Seaport Diner in Port Jefferson , NY.
Service was horrible, the waiter takes 25 minutes after sitting down to come over and take our drink order then another 20 mins just to take our dinner order.
Finally about 40 minutes after ordering we get our food. We ordered Salads that should have came out before our food did. We got our food then had to remind the Waiter about the Salad and which Salad we got. That took another 20 minutes.
To put the cheery on top of everything, I order a burger and fries. The fries were good ~ burger not great at all. When I go to eat my burger I noticed that the plate that my food was served on was not cleaned and it still had old food from the person before me who used this Plate.
I noticed the Waiter after waiting 25 minutes for him to come out of the back room and inform him about the food not being cooked and that the plate my food was served on was not cleaned and clearly no one cleaned the plate before serving food on it. He said he would take my food of the check, which didn’t happen. I got my bill and the food was still on the check.
So, When I went up front to pay that woman who rung me up took the food off the check and I informed her that the service sucked and that the waiter needs to be spoken too because this is not a way that you can taste people and that the restaurant should be checking everything that comes out of the dishwasher to ensure it was clean before having a customer eat off of it!!

Had a cheeseburger, nothing special, but did not like the abundant amount of onion rings in the burger. Seafood from a diner? I don’t know how to welcome that thought. Back in the 70’s & 80’s, diners were known for specialty food. Nowadays, hard to find a diner with just good food or “real” food for that matter.

I had a lovely experience at Seaport Diner, and it was made even better by our server, Diane. She was such a sweet soul, incredibly friendly, and had a great sense of humor that kept us smiling throughout the meal. Diane recommended the French vanilla iced coffee, and it did not disappoint—it was huge, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Worth every penny!
The food was equally impressive. My eggs were cooked to perfection, exactly as I like them, and we also ordered a wrap that was fresh, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyed. Between the excellent service, great coffee, and tasty food, Seaport Diner definitely hit all the right notes. Can’t wait to come back!

The Rec Vault
Went straight for the social media specials at Seaport Diner and they delivered. The Boom Boom mac and cheese was rich, cheesy, and crispy with a real kick. It was comfort food with a fun spicy twist and very filling. The mac and cheese tacos were massive, loaded, and topped with bacon.
The atmosphere felt casual and unapologetic, which fit the style of the food well. Service was straightforward and smooth during the visit, making it easy to just enjoy the meal.
Overall, this was diner food done unapologetically and satisfying from start to finish.

Took the fam on a Sunday morning to the diner. First time here but hit all the nostalgic diner notes. Immediately served some delicious coleslaw and pickles I knew we were in the right place. One of my favorite things about a diner is the variety and we took full advantage. Daughter had some strawberry Nutella pancakes which she immediately declared the best she’d ever ate. Son went simple with a classic grilled cheese. The wife had a creamy turkey soup recommended by the waitress which she loved along a chicken wrap with a honey mustard she asked to take home. I went a little off the beaten path when I saw they had a a section for smoked meats which I’d never seen at a diner. Had a massive burger loaded with pulled pork and brisket. The food was reasonable and in typical diner fashion served in large portions. Great experience and can’t wait to return.
