Not just food for my stomach it was food of comfort, food for my soul. I was raised in Harlem, 127th St., grew up, and traveled the world. Currently living in Houston, TX, I returned yearning for an old-fashioned fried fish dinner with all the fixings, and after 40 years, Sea to Soul didn’t just satisfy my hunger. I left there feeling like I just came out of a culinary day spa. Completely satisfied. Everything that my palate craved was served up along with good vibes and an excellent atmosphere that was warm and inviting. Needless to say, for those that know, the “itis” kicked in, Yes, food coma. I also made new friends. Come check out Eric and his extra clean establishment. You won’t be sorry, you’ll be back, especially if you have his Blueberry Cornbread….damn I want some more!

Wasn’t able to take food photos because I was super hungry and as soon as I saw and smelled the food, it was over.
I’ve had my fare share of soul food over the years and Eric and his staff know what they’re doing.
Eric said he learned to cook by watching his folks in the kitchen and it shows. He’s made a conscious decision to elevate traditional soul food recipes with healthier ingredients and less salt without compromising flavor.
I had the fried whiting, greens and Mac n cheese. Everything was spot on and reminded me of what true soul food is supposed to taste like without leaving you feeling sluggish.
Keep serving us this delicious food Eric. I love your positive energy and customer service experience.
I’ll be back the next time I’m in NYC for sure!!!

Cute little hole in the wall place for a quick bite!
Food flavor immaculate. The fish has the perfect blend of spices and seasonings. Cooked to perfection. Entree comes with one meat and 2 sides. Drinks are STRONG but good, especially for the price!
Bartender was wonderful and attentive, cashier forgot our drinks but it happens.
Back room is a cute little sit down bar area with great music and lowlit lights.
Order takeout but can dine in.

I’m genuinely disappointed with this order. I’ve enjoyed comfort food all my life, so I know when a dish is simply off and unfortunately, this meal missed the mark completely.
The macaroni and cheese arrived firm and undercooked, lacking the creaminess and warmth it’s meant to have. The yams, which are normally soft, buttery, and sweet, were inexplicably hard almost as if they were taken straight from the fridge without ever being finished. The shrimp had an odd aftertaste that immediately made me question its freshness.
Had I not just reported a quality issue yesterday, I would have had to report this one as well, which says a lot. For the price and the reputation, the quality should reflect care and consistency, and this meal simply did not.
I sincerely hope the kitchen takes this feedback seriously, because dishes like these should never leave the pass in this condition.

I found a place with southern food in the city. Service was considered equivalent to that of genuine southern hospitality. I was greeted cheerfully. The gentleman was friendly. He aimed to show that my patronage was valued. The food was good. It exceeded my expectations.

Whitey fish was really good! Not salty an fresh! The grits was ok seem like they could have cook a little more! They already come with cheese in them! So if you don’t want cheese I don’t no how that’s going work for you! The macaroni salad was good! I will go back to try another dish.

Great fast food, I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the fries were crunchy and well seasoned. The price was a bargain!

For this to be. Harlem restaurant, I am very unimpressed. Definitely not worth the time nor $52 that was spent. The fish to be straight out the fryer was still soggy and flavorless and the shrimp were overcooked and overseasoned. We were greeted and offered to dine in but no one paid us any attention. Mac and Cheese was a cold and just a block of cheese. The yams were the only edible thing. The macaroni tuna salad was overwhelmed with mayo and the potato salad was had too much relish. To say the least, i will NOT be back here.

We used Sea to Soul to cater our intimate corporate event today and not only was the food very tasty, the customer service was outstanding. Eric did a fantastic job making sure every order was here and even facilitating delivery. I got praise for pulling this off but I couldn’t have done so if it wasn’t for Eric’s dedication at being a fantastic business owner! Highly recommend and thanks again, Eric!

Visiting our daughter and headed to Harlem on her friend’s recommendation for soul food. Eric the owner didn’t disappoint! Friendly southern hospitality! We started with the sangria. Wow! great flavor and packs a punch I am from Wisconsin so we can handle our alcohol! The food was great! Crab cakes, whiting fish, shrimp, and sides. Greens, cabbage, and potatoe salad sent my husband back home to Momma’s house. Would have more pictures but the sangria got me and dug in before the pictures. LOL! Eric we wish you the best! Reach for your dreams brother!
