1st time visiting, we were welcomed by staff and promptly sat. Drinks came in styrofoam lidded cups, menus were easy to read. Food came out piping hot and beautifully cooked. The wait staff was attentive and kind, answered questions and made suggestions. We will be back I’m sure

I brought my play momma to her fav eatery, Shells. Shout out to Zeze for being an amazing server, for going along with my plot to pay for dinner, keeping the Arnold Palmer’s topped off, and doing everything with a smile. I got the crawfish, grouper, catfish, coleslaw, and corn on the cob and everything was super tasty! My play momma did blackened flounder, fried shrimp, garlic mash, and a salad. She said the only fish that she eats is Shell’s flounder. Great food, great times!

I’m not sure what happened to this place. We moved to Hawkinsville last August and came here after it was recommended by a neighbor. We would come in or order takeout almost every week or biweekly.
The past two months or so, the service is terrible. They are rude on the phone. When placing a to go order, they tell you they’ll call back when it’s ready. They rarely call back anymore, and if they do, it’s 45min – 1hr later. In 6 months, the portions have also gotten smaller. We typically get a large combo. It’s used to come in a tin pan. Now it fits in a foam togo box.
The food taste has always been great, but with service as bad as it’s been, it’s no longer worth it and will not be going back.

I HAD THE MOST ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LOV LIFE TODAY AT SHELL’S I WENT IN ORDERED THE LOW COUNTRY BOIL WITH 2 CLUSTERS SHRIMP EGGS POTATOES ADD LOBSTER I WAITED ALMOST AN HOUR THEN GET MY FOOD I HAVE NO LOBSTER NO SHRIMP SO I TAKE IT BACK IN TELL THE WAITRESS THAT TOOK MY ORDER THAT IT’S WRONG THEN I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER HOUR FOR THE MANGER TO APPROVE THEN TO GET MY PLATTER BACK AND STILL NO SHRIMP AND EVERYTHING COLD EXCEPT THE LOBSTER SO I GO BACK IN TELL THE WAITRESS THAT I HAVE NO SHRIMP SHE TELLS ME I DIDN’T CHARGE YOU FOR THE SHRIMP IM SO BLOWED I TELL HER THANK YOU THEN JUST WALK OUT

So we got the gator bites, it was pretty good had alittle kick. My husband got steak and shrimp. That was 28.99 and the steak was horrible, poor quality of meat, tasted like it was cooked in the oven. I got the pick 2 platter for 18.99 and very small portions 5 oysters and 5 bay scallops. And they up charged me 2.00.so it was 20.99 for 5 of each. Vegetables was awesome I could make a meal on them. We want be back unfortunately our meal was 96 dollars and the steak house has better portions and quality food.

Shells is our favorite restaurant by far. We have eaten here more times than I can count and have never been disappointed. The food and service is unmatched. The Shrimp Boil and Blackened Shrimp Alfredo are our favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
