Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious.
I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don’t like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!
The ambience was equally enjoyable—clean, modern, and inviting, with a relaxed yet lively coastal feel that makes it perfect for both casual dining and special outings. The only minor note is that the dishes weren’t as spicy as we expected, even with Cajun flavors, but the depth of taste and quality more than made up for it. Overall, Sea Salt is a fantastic seafood spot that combines great food with a warm, vibrant atmosphere, and it’s definitely worth a visit.
For the price I wish it was more food, plate felt pretty empty considering that was over $200.
Worst corn I ever had, lobster was good. Crab felt so empty.
Best thing I ate was the lobster roll.
Cool experience, won’t be going back.
Id recommend choosing something else for a little more bang for your buck.
We came to our favorite restaurant for Valentine’s Day and we were not impressed comparing to previous visits. We had booked a reservation a couple of days before, and when we arrived we were recognized by some of the staff who have seen us multiple times, and ultimately we were not prioritized. Not sure if it’s “how” this restaurant handles their booking but anyways, we had to wait a significant amount of time and we were sat by the kitchen door. Looking at other tables, we saw more than 3 couples given 4-person tables and 1 couple with a booth. We asked to sit in an empty booth and we were told by a waitress that she would ask our designated waitress. She comes back telling us that the booth we desired is waiting for a 5-person reservation. Lo and behold an hour into dinner, it was only a couple sitting in the booth. So we were blatantly lied to as regulars.
Regarding the food, we were quite disappointed. The fries that had a crispy coating, had been changed to “hand cut” that were not as delightful (see photos/videos attached), and definitely not crispy. With our crab boil, there was significantly less sauce compared to how it is usually prepared. And the very unexpected, turn off of the night was seeing plastic cups being used for drinks versus the usual glassware.
Our waitress also never really checked on us throughout the night. We felt shrugged off and when she did check on us (once only) it was barely for even 5 seconds. We had to keep requesting for utensils and other essentials meant for a seafood boil, from the gloves to bibs, and even scissors to cut the crabs.
The rest of the staff are great. We always enjoy their support, service, and presence. But unfortunately our experience on Valentine’s Day decided the result of this review.
The Sea Salt Cafe Lobster Boil is a MUST-TRY
We recently indulged in the Group of 2 menu at Sea Salt Cafe, and this was hands-down one of the most satisfying seafood experiences we’ve ever had. The value, the flavor, and the sheer amount of food were incredible!
We started with the calamari and shrimp fries, which set a high bar for the rest of the meal. The calamari was perfectly crisped and tender, and the shrimp fries offered a unique, savory twist on a classic side. The accompanying drinks were perfectly mixed and refreshing. We had the manjo juice and the Mangao coconut jelly.
Then came the main event: the incredible lobster boil platter. This thing was massive! It featured two succulent lobster tails cooked to absolute perfection. They were accompanied by plump mussels, tender large shrimp, and all the essential fixings: buttery corn, soft potatoes, and flavorful rice to soak up all the goodness.
The true star, however, is the Sea Salt Spl Sauce. It’s the secret weapon that ties everything together—rich, savory, with Cajun, and with a delightful, addictive kick. We made sure to dredge everything in it!
From the fantastic appetizers to the generous portions and the signature sauce, the Group of 2 menu is the ultimate indulgence. The service was fabtastic, Alma made sure to recommend the sauce, click pics and make the experience grear for us. The overall atmosphere was great. If you are a seafood lover, you absolutely must visit Sea Salt Cafe! We left completely satisfied and already counting down until our next visit.
