Sea Salt is modeled after the typical farm-to-table restaurants of France, boasting some of the freshest farm-to-table ingredients including local fish, seafood, beef, produce and dairy products whenever possible. Our chef’s menu will bring you back to the origins of great food using only the season’s most fresh and simple ingredients in typical brasserie dishes such as steak frites, fresh oysters, and steamed mussels.
Traditional French fare gets a seasonal twist at this old-world bistro with a large bar offering.

This was an experience beyond all expectations. The first thing I noticed was the piano player pumping out mellow music. The staff was well informed about the menu and helpful on suggestions for wine pairings while also keeping the atmosphere light and relaxing. The food is absolutely phenomenal!! From the charcuterie appetizer to the peach cobbler, everything seemed to just melt in my mouth. This was an experience I will not forget. This is a great spot for date night, girls night out, business meals or just to have a next level dining experience. Go, you won’t regret it.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Tucked between a mattress store and a dentist Sea salt is serving up beautiful and delicious food. Mike and our server Aracely treated us like royalty, every one of their suggestions was better then the next. To make our date even more special was the piano player who serenaded us through out dinner. Even though we are about 40 min away this is definitely our new date night spot. Everything on the menu is delicious. Thank you Sea salt!

Great atmosphere with a piano playing and wonderful service from our waitress. However all of our food was less than stellar. The bucksnort trout is an interesting presentation but I feel you lose the crispy skin with the wrapped technique used. The flesh was very dry and the stuffed greens inside added an unpleasant bitter note. The tri tip was also dry and had a distinct charred taste, but the sauce served with it was terrific. Finally the bacon wrapped shrimp overcooked to the point of rubber. We did really like the cheese plate and the drinks were solid. I loved our server who pointed out it was her thyme in the drinks. Overall I had a good time with the company and the music, the piano player really sets them apart, but I wish I had not spent over thirty dollars on a fish I had to drown in lemon juice. Perhaps it was just an off night for the kitchen we might try again and will update.

It was my girlfriend’s birthday and we’ve really been wanting to try this place. The bar was set pretty high, since we’ve had so many people say awesome things about it. Even still, those expectations were blown out of the water!
My girlfriend has a gluten, soy, and peppers allergy, which makes eating out a challenge, but this wasn’t an issue for the quick thinking and on the fly adjustments made by the staff to ensure she could enjoy the best their menu has to offer. Our server Jackie and the Chef were amazing! Kind and very accommodating!
Wonderful atmosphere, and even better food. Highly recommend! Thank you Sea Salt, for helping me make my girlfriend’s day extra special. We’ll be back!!!

We originally had a reservation but we were able to walk-in earlier. The restaurant at first glance is nice and clean and has a nice casual feel. Great place if you are looking for dinner date. Food presentation for both plates were great as well. The crab and shrimp cake was awesome. The pork chop dinner looked and tasted great, minus the fact the pork chop was pretty dry but surprisingly still tender. Had the pork chop not been so dry I’d give a 5 star.

So this was our first time eating here and I must say it was just ok. One of the biggest issues was the piano, we were seated right next to it and could barely hear ourselves talk to each other. Our waitress was great, the service was great the food was just ok for what it cost and the menu selection was very limited. Probably the best dish was the swordfish, it was cooked well and had a great flavor.

Excellent food and great service. Sergio was fantastic and very attentive. Some may find the smaller menu a small distraction, but I can see they are focused on providing quality dishes, with ingredients that are currently in season or have been freshly delivered. Loved the filet with crab cake & bernaise – the fingerling potatoes and broccolini was very complementary additions. The desserts are delicious- love the chocolate soufflé!
There has been some mention the volume of the piano in the front dining room area…I find it to be a nice touch and allows for more privacy within the room. Obviously they have lots of additional seating elsewhere in the restaurant that’s away from the live music.

We had a great first visit to Sea Salt with friends. There are some other spouts that tout “best seafood/fish”, but the portion just isn’t worth the price. This place is pretty legit with most fresh fish I’ve had and the flavors are much more complex. Great options for a nice night out. This may not be the best place for the kids, but they do have some lower price “non-fish” options. But from oysters to clams, scallops and shrimp, all of which are done in a classy atmosphere and presentation, this is definitely a new favorite

Very nice decor and friendly staff. Upscale. Was a little suprised by the brevity of the menu. May be because it is only the second night open. Will be interesting to see if the menu changes/expands. Live piano! Overall impressed! Bacon wrapped shrimp very well done.

After seeing a news report on restaurant owners moving away from downtown that featured Sea Salt we immediately put them on our must eat list.
FIRST IMPRESSION
We discovered they were open for brunch and went Saturday morning. We were pleasantly greeted and welcomed in by Jackie. Let’s get this out the way first. Jackie was OUTSTANDING! She checked on us several times and made us feel at home.
MENU
The brunch menu offered shrimp and grits, a chowder, a lobster and shrimp roll, a crab cake po boy to name a few. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced.
I got the lobster and shrimp roll which was delicious. It was served on a perfectly golden cooked Italian bread bun with a drizzle of aoili sauce. It was served with just the right amount of home fries. The portions hit the spot. Pro tip: the homemade aioli sauce is what you want to dip your fries in (see pic).
Wifey got the crabcake po boy. I had a few bites..it was good. I appreciated the presentation and that it wasn’t overstuffed.
I also had an oyster which was fresh..not gritty and run under a stream of water like some oysters can taste. A sprinkle of hot sauce and away it went.
SERVICE
Our waiter, Rico, was awesome. He was energetic, pleasant, had good conversation and took care of us. He suggested the anejo tequila…and he kept her mimosas coming. $5 mimosas in Hendersonville beats $13 downtown and free is parking!
We even had interaction with the bartender from our table. Shout out for the tequilla samples! The repository was food but it was the anejo for me!
We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for a quick lunch, or grabbing a happy hour drink at the bar.
