I was feeling a bit down and I did not feel like making dinner, so I walked down to the Malecon and cheered up with wonderful service (thank you Carlos), a lovely meal of Coconut Shrimp and a simply beautiful view. Gracias Sea Master!

Fabulous coconut shrimp, very good hamburger, and pretty good shrimp ceviche. Unfortunately the service was VERY slow, and we were their only table(4 of us) of customers. The kitchen got one order wrong and brought a hamburger when the shrimp burger was what was ordered. The hamburger was very good though. The shrimp ceviche was covered in a Franks type hot sauce and was not your traditional style. Of course being right on the ocean there are fabulous views.

This place was by far the best place to dine and see an amazing sunset. Ana really liked it here. Prices are very affordable and they do accept credit cards which is not too common in small towns in Mexico. Literally on the beach as you can see from the pics I took. Very cool and quaint little place.

This is a really special spot in a uniquely special place; the ribs and ceviche and margaritas and family that owns the place are unforgettable. Have eaten on-site many many times, but seems that I was enjoying myself too much to take a photo… Thanks!

Update- food is better this year.
Probably the nicest of the restaurants on the beach in Barra. The rollo de mar is just ok, with the fish usually dry and the sauce not having much almond flavor. The shrimp in half a pineapple is probably the best dish. Margaritas are good and service is excellent. They usually have good music at night.

The reviews of this place are mixed so now I add my experience. Flavorless fish. Overpriced for the area. Deceptive “two for one” happy hour. (Oh, the drinks you ordered are not included on this special…) Dirty plates. Waitress wearing a t-shirt that said F*** You. Maybe she didn’t understand the meaning or maybe that was her true thought as a server. They have a sign showing Visa/MasterCard symbol. We tried to use card and were told the internet was down. I understand technology, but they should have let us know. Can’t imagine what we would have done if we were short on pesos. Only redeeming quality is the amazing view. Won’t go back there. Too many other good places in Barra de Navidad to waste money here. (I know Mexico is not the same as my home country and I don’t expect it to be. I think my expectations are realistic as most of my reviews are very high in Mexico.)

Perfect place to witness a sunset, but the food was ok. I took the steak with the shrimps. The shrimps were perfect but the steak was not what north americans are use to.
