A must do while in Sitka! Super fun and unique restaurant decor and history! Halibut, yellow eye, and lingcod lightly fried on a stick for $20 cash only and served with a delicious tartar sauce. Early bird gets the fish. Worth it for the fish and the experience!

Sea Daddy is the definition of a hole in the wall. If you want fresh fish and a non touristy experience, I would highly recommend stopping! The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and the fish is GOOD.

We showed up on a wet and cold day. The place was open but Scotty was no where to be found. After almost walking out, he emerged from the back. He made us some fresh, delicious fish on a stick. It warmed us up. We enjoyed hearing the history and the stories of the area. Loved looking at all the memorabilia too. Give this place a try! It is CASH only and its $20/stick.

Dystopian and perfect at the same time. A place that catches your eye immediately. The food is fresh and delicious. Super clean too. Affordable. Better than ANY fancy restaurant. If you don’t see the owner around, just knock on the door, he is always there, he will open. The best halibut I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over Alaska for 4 seasons. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. If you want to experience the real Alaskan life, and teleport yourself in the past, this is your place. Highly recommended! We will be back!

This place is a one of a kind, just like the owner Scotty! my husband and boys loved the fish, and just requested the owner to surprise us with 2 different kinds. Both were the best fried fish we had ever had!!! I don’t even enjoy eating fish and couldn’t get enough of it! We got a fun history lesson about the region while we waited. The atmosphere is authentic and made our Sitka experience special. Its a cash only place so come prepared, you will thank me later!

Excellent fish on a stick! He had yellow eye rock fish when we were there and it was perfect.

The owner was full of information and the place is like a mini museum…albeit an uncurated one!

It’s cash only and bit pricey for what you get, but we were more than happy to support him.

The location is not at downtown area but worth few more steps. I got fried yellow eye, OMG! Never had fish so tender and delicious… not much seasoning, but good enough to taste the fish original favor.

Must visit if you’re in Sitka!

It’s a must! Sea Daddy’s was our favorite place in Sitka! We immediately felt like long time friends. Scotty is a super cool, friendly man!

Come check out his sweet restaurant that doubles a museum of Sitka. Eat delicious fish while looking at old artifacts and maybe you’ll get lucky and get to take his canoe out for a quick joyride!

Totally worth going off the Main Street to see this! Those run down houses in the pictures aren’t his restaurant & there’s is a sign near those houses saying no pedestrian access, but on the opposite side of the street – there’s a sidewalk that leads right to Sea Daddy’s

Thanks again Scotty!! We had a blast!!

Scotty the owner is awesome and tells stories and gives history on the area. Overall a great experience, the kids loved everything about it and so did we.

It is cash only so know that when heading over but more than worth the short walk.
