i went to scramblers to get some bagels. the owner said it wasn’t a good batch today so he would give me extra. i asked if they were still good to eat. he said they were fine.
got home, tried one bagel – absolutely inedible.
i called, spoke with owner, explained. he said there wasn’t a problem because he gave me extra bagels. i explained, inedible, wanted to return. he said no way and wouldn’t give a refund.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant once a week for about 4 months straight. I absolutely love the bagels with fresh cream cheese, their food is great!! However, the service and most of the waitresses are terrible. They never remembered us or greeted us differently despite being regulars, and tipping a $20 bill each week. Not only that, they were quite rude too when taking orders, and serving us, like we were inconveniencing them. They also constantly swore and yelled at each other in front of customers. The service was consistently slow, it shouldn’t take 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 15 minutes after eating to receive our bill. Especially when we can see the waitresses chatting it up together behind the counter. I’m really not picky, and I understand the food service industry is incredibly difficult, I highly respect people in this line of work. It’s just sad when the food is consistently awesome, but the service is consistently bad. Also, this was about two years ago, but we occasionally come back for the delicious bagels, and the service is still the same.

Nice little breakfast spot. The bagel sandwiches are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. If you like the everything bagel or garlic bagel they are the delicious. I always get an egg bacon and cheese sandwich on one of those bagels which are the freshest around. The Only things is there a little pricey. Its about $7.50 just for the sandwich but well worth it it you want good.

I will never go here again. Not only did I have things missing from my order. I also had my order messed up when I went back to get fixed the owner straight up lied to my face, telling me I ordered something I didn’t order. And refused to fix it. He’s straight lied to my face. I refuse to give business to a lier! I had proof of his mistake and stilled lied! Disgusting!!!

The staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal! I had the blueberry pancakes with sausage and it was perfection! The coffee is also amazing! Yes there was a little bit of a wait, but guess what? When you order food made fresh with authenticity, you will have to wait sometimes, but let me tell you, it is so worth it! This restaurant is also spotless and all the TVs make it so much fun! I am absolutely impressed and consider me a regular happy customer from now on

I have driven from Long Island to San Diego, and traveled from Maine to Key West. I have determined that the friendliest women in America are the ones working at Scramblers. “What can I getcha, sweet-haht?” “Six more bagels, dah-lin!” “Here’s ya change, honey!” They serve up the best bagels north of the Harlem River. Great bagels at a great price. Like me, the bagels are big and soft yet sweet and crusty. Malasadas, too!

I brought my family from South Carolina to have breakfast I have enjoyed every experience here before. We got here at 12:00 placed our food order by 12:20 mind you the server walked away mad times when we were ready to order but we were patient we didn’t get our food until well after 1:00. When we were checking out I was asking if we could ask for some type of courtesy discount for the wait because we were all very confused as to why six eggs and three orders of home fries was taking that long when we walked in there were only two other tables there, the owner told me that he was not going to provide a discount and I said okay that’s fine run your business how you would like to run your business. However he kept up with the sly comments so I said to him well enjoy working because I’m going home where I don’t have to work and I’m going to have a good day I hope you do the same.

Very good breakfast. I hate to go negative but the service was lacking. The waitress appeared to be covering about 20 tables too many. And then disappeared for 10 minutes to smoke a cigarette. Besides that distraction everything was great. We will return.
