Very good food the portion sizes were perfect. The owner very friendly outgoing man the waiter was awesome and the place was very clean. I definitely would recommend any local or someone passing through to stop in and have a meal here I had the Nina’s scrambled egg breakfast with biscuits and gravy the biscuit was awesome tasted homemade and fresh and the gravy was really good my wife had the pecan waffles and said they were absolutely delicious also. I don’t think the prices were any more than you would expect to pay in any sit-down restaurant

I have been here on mamy occasions over the last few years. But after today, I will never be back. I qrrived and was sat quickly. The service itself was decent. The food taste was good. But heres why I wont be back…. upon receiving my food, I instantly noticed the portion sizing had changed. I spent over $17 (not including tip and fees) on my meal, and left hungry. Im a small woman, and ive never actually left a restaurant still hungry. Fine. But upon cashing out, I was charged more than my original receipt. When I inquired about it, she informed me that they offer menu pricing to guests that are paying cash only. Everyone else pays 4% more. At no time before or during the meal, was I informed of this. I assumed I was paying menu pricing. Only at checking out at the checkout counter are you informed you will not be paying menu pricing, as its reserved for those paying cash. I was furious. I didnt say anything as to not cause a scene. When I left, I checked to see if I missed a sign… maybe it was posted and I just missed it. Wrong. Its only posted at the checkout counter…. taped to the counter on top…. you cant see it upon walking in or being sat. I will never be back and will be letting all my friends, family, and colleagues in the area know.

Do NOT order juices from this place. They’ll charge $3.49 extra for a “large” when their cups are one size. Literally the SMALLEST size of Styrofoam cups that you can buy. Ripped me off twice now, but I caught them when I ordered a small and a large because I KNEW there was no smaller cup size. (I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for a couple of decades.)

The food was really good, but the customer service fell short. We were made to feel like an inconvenience, which was disappointing because I genuinely enjoyed the meal. The issue wasn’t with our waitress .she seemed to be training someone but with another staff member, an older heavier-set lady. The vibe she gave off wasn’t welcoming at all, and there were some uncomfortable, possibly biased undertones that didn’t sit right.
The overall atmosphere seemed geared toward an older crowd (most diners were 55+), and it felt like younger guests weren’t exactly welcomed the same way. I’m willing to give the place another try, though. I’m hoping it was just an off day, because the food really was worth coming back for..

I’ve actually been here a few times but Saturday we stopped in for brunch at about noon. We wanted to skip the busyness of some other places and thought this place would have some more classic options. The food was fantastic! I got the ham steak with eggs, potatoes (hashbrown or home fries, I had the home fries) and HOMEMADE bread. I chose the cinnamon raisin toast and it was delicious! The slices were huge! Everything was great and my wife and I even commented of why do we not come here more often. My wife had the tenderloin which was also huge but tasty! Service was wonderful, place was clean. The food? Disgusting. Thr grits where bland ordered extra cheese and they put the wrong cheese and maybe a sprinkle. The mushrooms were flavorless and the biscuit I got was soggy because they put the mushrooms on it. Maybe this just is a bad place to order to go from but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

For a so called “family friendly diner” it was anything but. When we first walked in, this blonde woman shouted from across the restaurant how many we had in our party. When we answered she gave no reply just grabbed three menus tossed them on a table and walked away from us before we got to the table with out a word or a smile. When our food came out everything was cold and tasted 3 days old. Overpriced, outdated, and hostile environment. We will never come back.

New to Springfield and I was looking for Good Ol’ Breakfast place! I found a gem when I discovered this place. Went in and got my favorite, Eggs Benedict! It was amazing. Ordered Grits! They were great too.
I will be back and will be bringing out of town guests when they come in to visit. Very reasonable. Nothing fancy. Just amazing food and Great Service.

Delicious coffee brand☕ Homemade everything. Grandson who is picky enjoy his skillet meal. Too bad, it was a travel experience i going there again if back in area.
