Fun atmosphere with bowling, pool tables and a full bar. Concept is great, however service is sub par. Considering there is an automatic gratuity added, I feel customer service could definitely improve. One bartender/server managing the entire area on a weekend is not realistic. Customers were left waiting and frustrated, even the bartenders attitude reflected her frustration. Food and drinks are good but something definitely needs to improve, especially with automatic gratuity.

Extremely disappointed with our recent experience at The Statler. My wife accidentally left her purse at the bar this past weekend. We realized it quickly and went back to retrieve it, only to find that $200 in cash had been stolen out of it.

The purse was supposedly only handled by bar staff, the front desk, and security during the time it was ‘safeguarded.’ When we brought this to their attention, security was completely dismissive and claimed they ‘couldn’t review the cameras.’ We have been waiting for the manager to provide answers, but the lack of urgency and accountability is pathetic for a hotel of this caliber.

If you value your belongings, be extremely careful here. We have filed a formal police report with the Dallas PD and will be escalating this to Hilton Corporate. It’s a shame that a beautiful hotel is overshadowed by dishonest staff and a management team that doesn’t care about guest safety.

The bartenders are excellent. Whoever makes business decisions here should probably change. Getting rid of basically the entire food menu, and now inconveniencing customers to have to order at the other place and bring it over is certainly… a decision. The owner of the building should absolutely fire whoever the managing company is, if he likes making money.

Very fun night out. Great bowling, free ping pong and foosball, including a double sized foosball table which was pretty unique. The atmosphere could have been a lot better although I do appreciate that’s not necessarily the venues fault and it was a Wednesday night. Only negative – I thought the drinks were expensive, particularly for an empty bar, perhaps it’s busier in other days to justify the higher prices.

Its a lively place. You can play ping pong, do bowling. The food though is not that great probably its intended to focus more on the drinks. The waiter was very friendly and considerate. If you go here with group you will love the place but not such a good option for family or couple.

This was such a FUN place! Very cool and unique vibe! The mushroom sloppy joe was awesome and the queso dip didn’t disappoint. Reservations recommended during peak times. Would have loved to spend more time there so I could bowl and play ping pong!

A bit better than a plain lobby bar, but the service is suspect. At the bar, I ordered one item and a non-alcohol drink, and got slapped with an automatic $5 tip (30%). Very strange to automatically apply a tip for a patron at the bar. Bar staff were nice, but not very talkative or helpful. You’d hope at a hotel bar, you have some friendly folks.

Went in was a party of 4 and sat at the bar. When we sat down there was no bartender to be found and we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come out. Mind you the bar was dead. She did took our drink order and was nice enough. Of the 4 drinks we ordered, 2 were beers and 2 were mixed drinks. The mixed drinks had barely any ice in them and the alcohol was mixed with 6oz of straight juice, absolutely terrible. To top it off she couldn’t even pour a beer correctly, in no instance should the whole mouth of the beer tap be in someone’s beer. 10/10 would not recommend.

Went on a date night, and we were two of maybe 15 people in the entire upstairs area and our server’s only patrons. If we wanted anything, we had to flag her down. She left all of our dirty glassware and plates…horrible service and mediocre food. Only had a few bowling balls to choose from and they played hard core rap the entire time. Will never be back!

The atmosphere at Scout is awesome! It’s a great place to hang at the bar, go bowling, play pool, or an assortment of other games. We didn’t get any food but we did order some drinks. The first bartender we had seemed very unfamiliar with the menu as we both had to repeat our drink order when she seemed confused. She then had to use a menu to know what to put in the drinks. The drinks turned out alright, nothing amazing but not bad. The staff was overall friendly but not the quickest. The biggest reason Thai isn’t 5 stars is that there is an undisclosed automatic 20% gratuity on the check. There was only two of us so it wasn’t for having a large group. I had already tipped cash so it would’ve been really nice to know they were going to force me to tip at the end also. The experience was definitely saved by Omar, he came up to us while playing pool and offered to set up bowling for us, asked if he could get us any more drinks or anything else. We came back the next morning (Sunday) for free bowling. We were the only customers there but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t hover but they made sure we had anything we needed. Overall I recommend trying out Scout but don’t expect super fast service and make sure you read your check to see if you want to add to the non-optional 20% gratuity on every ticket.
