My partner and I both ordered the crispy pork Bánh Mì, and it was honestly worth the wait. The bread was perfectly baked. The filling didn’t look like much at first, but it was the perfect amount. Everything paired together so well. It was light to eat but still super filling.
The pork was sliced thin and wasn’t dry at all, and the salad was really fresh. I asked for just a little bit of chilli, and they actually gave me just a little bit of chilli (which never happens haha).
Definitely recommend joining the line and trying one of these — totally worth it!
Only $8.50 !!
Cash only.
Whenever I’m in the area I either bring my family or order a few banh mi to share at home. Absolutely delicious.
This in my opinion is the best in Brisbane try it for yourself !!
You will understand why …
It is stuffed with loads of different flavours from the pickled vegetables, four slices of thinly cut pork, fresh coriander & let’s talk about the generously spread pate , it is an explosion of taste!
Note I did crush my roll on the way back to work, whoopsie it still tasted AMAZING!!
Expect a 5/10 minute wait as they get quite busy at lunch time.
No fuss. No hype. Just pure crunchy, porky perfection.
This is Brisbane’s first banh mi shop, and honestly? It’s still the best. The bread crackles like it was baked by angels. The pork is tender like it knows what you’ve been through. And the price? So good I had to check I wasn’t in a parallel universe where things still make sense.
Forget your $15 city banh mi with truffle mayo and activated air. This is real, this is local, and this is love served in a baguette.
Scott’s Road Takeaway is not just a lunch stop, it’s a sacred ritual. A crunchy, coriander-filled, chilli-blessed journey of the soul.
Thank you, Darra. You’ve kept the banh mi dream alive… and my tastebuds are forever grateful.
Kylie, proud pilgrim on the pork banh mi path ️
