Stopped at Scotties on our way through town and it did not disappoint. The bloody marys were tasty as well as their breakfast.
We thoroughly enjoyed the banter between the owner and the regulars.
Wish we would have asked to buy one of their t-shirts. Our kind of place.

This hidden gem struck gold- I came in brunch hour. The Big Mac Wrap was delicious. Terry was a wonderful Bar tender and the locals were pretty friendly. Will be stopping back soon!

If you want a big burger and hot fries (mushroom and swiss was definitely better than most), other sandwiches or chicken, in a definitely favorite local watering hole with loud local country radio playing loudly, this is where you need to stop on your way up Highway 10. Some Tap beer selections besides Busch Light.

We stopped here to get a bite to eat and watch the vikings game. We asked the guy who took our order if we could get the game on the TV and he told us, “No, we dont watch sports here.” I guess a guy welding on the TV with no volume was pretty entertaining. Food was okay. Service was bad.

Absolutely best breakfast EVER! Veggie skillet was aahhhh-mazing as was the bloody Mary. Took me back to the days when my Pops would play cards or dice over morning coffee. It was crazy busy, but it was like everybody knew everybody and they were incredibly friendly. If you’re looking for fancy, it’s not your place, but if you want terrific food and a fun laid-back Northern Minnesota place, Scottie’s is a must.

Conveniently located along the highway and adorned with a striking mural on the building, Scottie’s Log Bar offers a vibrant and entertaining experience for visitors looking to unwind and have a good time. As I stepped inside, I was immediately drawn to the unique features that set this establishment apart.
The array of entertainment options at Scottie’s Bar is impressive. From the thrill of pull tabs and engaging toy arcade games to the friendly competition of darts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The jukebox adds a musical touch to the ambiance, allowing patrons to set the mood with their favorite tunes and the TV show “Let’s Make a Deal” on in the background added entertainment value. Scottie’s Log Bar offers a well-rounded experience that is sure to leave you with lasting memories.

Older bartender doesn’t seem to like working or people who aren’t local. Came in with a group of 8 for the first time, waited a little bit at the table. Asked the bartender really nicely if we order at the bar or the table because we saw other people going up to the bar to order. disrespectully says “you’re not the only one here we’ll get there when we get there”. Then comes to the table to clear it and says “people could be outside having a smoke and you sat here, you’d get into a fight doing that”. The existing bill was signed and nobody was outside.
Older male bartender Seemed lazy and didn’t want to work, pretty un-American for a place like this. Not surprising with his attitude and trash demeanor.

Hidden Gem. Stopped on the way to the cabin. Shrimp basket and chicken drummie basket, so hot and fresh. Prices reasonable, service was great (thanks Lori!) and drinks are solid. Glad we didn’t drive through. Recommend for sure!
