Really great place for some quick fish and chips. The prices are great and the portions are quite generous! ✌️ Highly recommended if you’re in the area the staff is also friendly and nice. Easy access from the Redlynch shopping centre. It’s a truly solid and great place for some food been going there for several years now and it never disappoints.

Lovely clean shop. Friendly staff. Excellent service. Always busy. Had battered coral trout last night. Was absolutely fantastic. The serving was so large there was leftovers. When reheated it was still awesome. Highly recommended.

I gave this review a one star because the burger was pretty good, otherwise the chips were not great as they were dry. I asked for crumbed prawn cutlets and they gave me battered but the batter was soggy as well as the seafood stick being rubbery and it’s not the first time I’ve been here. And the price (in my opinion) isn’t great for the food quality but the cheeseburger was good so I’m just genuinally curious as to why everything else was not great. It might have been a bad night.

The shop is Under new owners and they are lovely, kind, friendly and the food quality is alot better and tastier!!

Loved the black pudding and fresh salads….so rare to see this on the menu.
The staff made such good salads, all freshly made with clean and fresh ingredients. They took a lot of care with preparing everything.
Fish and chips were ok. Trout was white fish, not pink. Chips would be better in beer batter.
Still so happy that they go for quality .
Gettiing some Scottish foods was a nice treat.
I missed black pudding from Alsace, France, so it was lovely and unexpected to find it up here in a fish and chips shop!….
Maybe some music and some decorations would help for atmosphere.

We grabbed chips and then lots of little bits and pieces and it was absolutely banging. Perfect to grab and take to the beach for a lazy dinner night. Only reason I didn’t go 5 stars is because I like more chicken salt and because I would have liked my potato cakes a bit more crispy. But I will definitely be back and definitely recommend.
Oh also some of the best fish and chip gravy I have ever had and brilliant customer service.

I ordered hake and chips. Waited 20 minutes and was presented with my order. When I got home and opened the wrapping papper I found a load of chips but no fish. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. CHECK INSIDE THE WRAPPING BEFORE YOU LEAVE THAT YOU HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE ORDERED! Never trust a Scotsman.

Great fish and chip shop. The dim Sims, corn Jack and seafood sticks takes you back in time to the good old days and how good fish and chip shops were back then. Only reason I don’t give 5⭐ is because the hake wasn’t great but maybe I should have upgraded to the mackerel
and you don’t get lemon wedges or tartare included anymore but I guess times are changing and you gotta pay extra for the extras. Will return amazing feed though overall.

Saturday night I am pleased to say the service at Scotsman’s was great, I was greeted over the phone by Emily who was very helpful and handled my order wonderfully. Will definitely be back!
