This diner was a perfect stop during a road trip with my best friend. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. Our server, Bonnie, was incredibly sweet! I had the tuna melt and really enjoyed it. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Stopped in for take-out. Got the Montecristo sandwich and it was exactly as stated on the menu. It turned out to be a larger sandwich than I was able to handle in one meal. Tasty too. Staff are very friendly. Prices on the high side, but that’s usually the case lately. Overall positive experience.

This was beyond a bad experience. I grew up coming to this place with my great grandma, and her memory is the reason I went tonight. The evening began with us listening to our waitress tell the guests next to us that they didn’t have 2 of the items that they had ordered well after they ordered them. Our initial order was also not on the menu. The food was bland tonight, but the biggest shocker was the cold mashed potatoes. Out waitress then had to leave, mid meal, and gave us our check before dessert. She told us that there would be a different person to check on us, but we had to flag the manager down after waiting for 15 minutes or so. The dessert we wanted also ran out, and we were forced to choose a different option again. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had here, and I strongly doubt I’ll be returning. This saddens me, as like I said before, I’ve been going to this restaurant my entire life.

Great NJ diner experience! My family and I (4 adults, 2 teens, 1 toddler) came in Black Friday for a quick bite to eat and Scotchwood Diner met our expectations and beyond! Ample selection for any eater and easily could accommodate a large party with kids without issue. We got many items, including those pictured: Mediterranean omelette, chicken souvlaki platter, and a big salad with chicken. All were delicious and affordable for a great diner experience. Stop by!

Came here for breakfast and it was as good as expected. We have been coming here for years and have no complaints. The Scotchwood is a standard NJ diner with a enough space that there isn’t to much of a wait. The staff is very friendly and the food never disappoints. From the standard breakfast special to pancakes and egg sandwiches, lunch & dinner you’ll find something to enjoy!

Unbelievable food quality high class service and an unbelievably hospitable owner on site! Couldn’t find a thing to complain about if I tried! The chocolate cheesecake is unbelievable! I’m glad this place exists!

Had a very poor experience. I ordered 2 turkey dinners and a buffalo chicken wrap. The mashed potatoes were sour. So was the gravy. The chicken from the wrap was black. Black because it was old. I called to let the manager know, but it didn’t seem to phase her.
