I’ll be honest I read the reviews of the push back with new decor etc before deciding on whether or not to go. We’ve visited before it either switched owners or got a redo-whatever the story.

It’s great. The ice cream is great. I think the prices reflect the economy, the fact that this is locally owned. I love that some stuff was taken out and redone. It looks and feels clean, updated, etc. the whole place smelled like cookies and fresh waffle cones. The ice cream was great and the person working greeted up and was patient with my toddlers who were choosing their favors with a lot of indecision.

The attendant on our visit was very kind and accommodating. She asked if we were paying cash or card, so I’m lead to believe it is an option to pay with card now, although I paid cash anyway. This is a classic ice cream shoppe. They offer vintage glass bottle sodas as well. You can tell it’s been well loved and aged but felt clean. As of this visit, they offered a Lactaid (lactose free) vanilla option, several reduced fat/no sugar options, and a lemon sorbet. They had many unique flavors of traditional ice cream pictured in this review. This is a staple ice cream shop to downtown Mocksville and worth the visit!

Edit: I went back because they definitely have the best ice cream in town and the same young lady was working but her attitude and everything about her was different. It was a great experience. I will be leaving my original review but I highly recommend and I will also be changing my rating.

Original:
Ice cream was great, experience was very lackluster. I got a single Scoop and my niece got a banana split and was asked if she wanted walnuts and she said yes. Well when we received her banana split had zero walnuts. We asked and she said she had to make them. Well we waited and she became to preoccupied with her friends who were swearing and some boy that was standing at the counter Chatting her up. Also decided her phone was more important. I asked her after my niece was halfway through with her ice cream are the walnuts ready and she said she forgot. So she went and “made” them and what was received was a bunch of whole walnuts with syrup on them. I would like to return but if I see her working I’ll just leave. I believe her name is Kylie or something like that.

I was greeted when I walked in the door and asked what I would like. So friendly and welcoming. The inside is so much better than before. A lot more room and don’t feel like I am standing in someone’s way. Very neat and clean. Scoops on main is a very family friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend everyone to take their friends and family and kids to enjoy ice cream and atmosphere. I know I will be back.

We’ve been loyal customers for years and I think it recently changed hands to new ownership. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed. My kids loved playing on the little car that was there (now gone) and the table that everyone signed is now gone. They were out of basically every flavor when we came in and barely gave us a scoop of ice cream. The team that worked there previously would load it up with ice cream so that you got your moneys worth. We’ve been coming here for years but I truly doubt we will be back.

Absolutely Love Scoops on Main!

If you’re looking for the best ice cream experience in town, look no further than Scoops on Main!

I have to give a special shoutout to Kyllie — She made our visit unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a huge smile, we couldn’t help but smile right back. She clearly loves what she does.

Kyllie helped us choose the perfect flavors. She was patient, kind, and genuinely excited to help — which made the whole visit that much better.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop at Scoops on Main.

It was nice and worth it ! but don’t understand why you would ask if you want whip cream and cherries on it that how a banana split is made without them it’s just not the same
