Just came from another part of the county for two containers of potato salad. We always come here for the amazing famous potato salad. Something is definitely wrong – flavor is off and potato salad is mushy and dry. I heard new ownership – but I purchased for Father’s Day and it was great. This batch is not good. Very disappointing for their famous potato salad!

Went here and got two sandwiches and 1 lb mac and 1 lb potato and it was almost $40! The chicken cutlet sandwich was basically all bread and even the other sandwich, they weigh the meat and put a minimal amount on. The potato salad was not even good like it used to be and had a lingering after taste like someone else mentioned and the mac salad was just plain tasting. I wont go back here again. Too many other options around that are way better and actually put meat on the sandwich so your not just eating a hero roll! Unfortunately, my picture of the sandwich with a sliver of chicken wont upload.

After moving out of state 9 years ago, we finally made it back. I have found some decent sandwich places down here, but have yet to find a proper potato salad. This had to be done while back in Jersey. We stopped at Schreiber’s on our way to the airport. 2 perfect sandwiches and a pound of potato salad. All as perfect as I remember. The staff are still welcoming, chatty and genuine as ever.

What happened to the macaroni salad? We have been buying for 40 years! Why change the recipe. I’m sure Craig passed it on when he sold the store. The taste doesn’t even resemble the old. You shouldn’t fix what’s not broken. You’ll lose a lot of customers. Good luck with the store.

What happened to the macaroni salad?? We have been buying it for 40 years and when we got it recently, it didn’t even taste close. Why would you change the recipe? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I am sure Craig gave you the recipes. Why fool with something people come from all over for? I hope you go back to the old recipes for the salads . Good luck.

Yes! The potato salad is the best! Sandwiches are made with fresh products and satisfying portions. Excellent bread too. Staff is attentive and professional. The sloppy Joe’s are great. The only problem is that I can’t always choose what to get….so many great choices that I usually have to order 2 sandwiches.

I go here often for lunch, and it is not the same. Yesterday was the last straw, my bread tasted old, I looked at it multiple times to see if it was moldy. It had a funky taste. What happened to getting the bread fresh daily? The lunch meat was great but bread tasted funky.

Ive been getting sandwiches from schriebers consistently for a couple years now while living in Oradell but today I got a sandwich and was extremely disappointed. My cheese wasn’t on it and the turkey was put on minimally and the onion was chunk rather than thin sliced like it should be. They also forgot about my pickles – not as on point as the deli used to be, unfortunately.
