I love visiting Schoop’s Hamburgers for a taste of comfort food done right. The burgers are flavorful and generous in size, with fresh toppings that take them to the next level. The milkshakes are thick, creamy, and a must-try. The retro diner vibe makes it a fun and relaxed place to eat. Always leaves me satisfied.

It was Delicious it was topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.. I had the Mickey Burger topped with cheese and grilled onions and a side of fries.. The burger was hot and juicy. Cool place to stop by! Grabbed a burger.
Very standard.
Very American.
Very Simple.
Fries… they could use some seasoning salt enough.
Which is a classic burger. Always a nice place to stop by

I am not a big diner type person but I might be changing that tune very soon due to SCHOOPS, in Portage.I’ve been to upscale restaurants, pizzerias, food trucks but I haven’t been a repeat customer until now.
The food is Good, Hot not fast because it’s cooked to order, which is uncommon nowadays.
All employees have hands on deck showing unity and customer satisfaction. It’s always nice and clean, employees are friendly and approachable.
The only thing that I can say is it’s a bit pricey, but I don’t mind. $40 for (2) adults and a kids meal for our (dog). Keep up the good work team.

Love the burgers and the extra crispy fries are thee best! Great service by the waited staff all of them were very nice and friendly. Food was quick and made prefect! Definitely going back. The price wasn’t bad either compared to what Mc.D charges and you get better portions for your buck

I love Schoop’s and have been eating there for decades. Good, hot food served in a great old fashioned diner environment. I usually order their takeout now and I’m happy to report that their takeout food is just as good as their on site food. Good portions and fresh. Here’s a pic of the chili cheese fries. Real chili with chunks of meat and hot creamy cheese. Delicious!

Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot! Schoop’s is the only place that actually makes me crave a burger. Anytime we’re near NWI, it’s a must stop. The burgers are always hot, crispy on the edges, and cooked perfectly. Fast service, consistent quality, and that classic diner feel make it unbeatable. Can’t recommend it enough!

I had a cheeseburger with fries and a milkshake. The milkshake was fantastic. I ordered a chocolate peanut butter shake with marshmallow (not on the menu but they free-styled it for me). It also came with a refill tin that filled up the long glass the shake came in. And it had lots of peanut butter too.
The burger was probably the worst part of the meal honestly. It was a little burned and crispy, not my kind of burger. I like smash burgers but this was overdone. The fries were alright.
I do love diners and this is an old school diner. I wish they had more nostalgia in there but overall, it was nice. The shake is well worth the trip and price.

We ate here for lunch after reading that the burgers here were the best in Indiana. The burgers lived up to the hype and the service we received was top notch.
We asked the young lady at the counter to cut our 2 burgers in half so we could share. She not only had the burgers cut in half, but she also put 1/2 of each burger in each of our to go containers so we would not have to split them up later. We will definitely come back here again if we ever find ourselves in the area.
