It’s great to have this place back in prime condition. Best view of any restaurant in the Helena area. If you are going to dinner after 4:00 pm (when the room with the great views is open), you should make reservations. Food is excellent, and for drinkers, don’t miss the Moscow Mule with Montana crafted Huckleberry Vodka.

I was looking for a place to have lunch with a view. When we drove up I almost didn’t go in. Don’t judge this place by the building.

They have the most delicious Walleye entre! I love the pastas too but the Walleye is over the top delicious. The view of the lake is beautiful too

Our family of six had a wonderful evening with a great atmosphere and superb food. There were 5 different entrees among us and each one was delicious. Whether you go with the dry rubbed ribeye, walnut crusted walleye, shrimp scampi, mushroom and spinach lasagna, or the excellent walleye fish and chips – you won’t go wrong. The service was friendly and quick. The musical entertainment added a nice touch to an enjoyable evening. Highly recommend!

Very good food! A bit higher priced than this area is accustomed. Be sure to check the hours and whether or not they are open before making a drive. They are closed part of the week. If going during typical busier dinner times or busier days of the week maybe think about calling ahead for a reservation and they are happy to have the table all set up and set aside for you waiting when you get there! The pork chop is delicious!!! Really several menu items are….but that is the one I hear people talk about the most and I agree.

Under new management, this place has really turned a corner. The service, Mary specifically, was absolutely stellar. Scott, the new owner, prepares a ribeye steak unlike any I’ve ever had. The french fries are absolutely to die for and the homemade blue cheese dressing leaves little to be desired. An absolute diamond in the rough. If you live anywhere near here, go for dinner and a drink. You are guaranteed an evening to remember.

Very friendly and fun staff! Upon entering we were warmly greeted (you definitely know you’re in Montana) and asked if we had reservations which we didn’t. The host said no problem we can squeeze you in and We asked if there was any way we could get a window and the hostess said we’ll squeeze you in, to which we were gratefull. The views of the water were amazing especially that evening with a big thunderstorm rolling in just as we were seated. Our waitress was prompt with taking our drink orders and made a wonderful IPA recommendation. Upon returning with the drinks let us know the special and what was popular. My fiance got the shrimp scampi and I got the walnut crusted walleye (both Upon recommendation). The food arrived about 20 minutes later right as a duet band started a sound check in the bar area. A very welcome surprise! Who doesn’t love live music?! My fiance started her meal and was in heaven. Very rich sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was not so fortunate. The walleye I received was visibly soggy and I was instantly hesitant. My first bite was in fact soggy and tasted watery, but with a little added bonus. A complete mouthful of bones. Which my fiance promptly pointed out I should have expected with river/ lake fish like that and I had been spoiled with de-boned salmon all my life. I tried to work past the bones but I spent 95 percent of my time trying to dig them out or spitting them out after I missed one. After 20 minutes of that I quit because the soggy tasteless fish just wasn’t worth the effort at that point. I had even asked for lemon to try to squeeze on some flavor but it was of no use. I abandoned the fish after maybe 5 small bites and finished the creamy mash potatoes and corn on the cob which were good enough. The band was playing at this point and they were good playing old 50s rock and other classics. So in all we came for the food, and stayed for the views and surprise live music. I call it a draw on the experience as that soggy walleye cost $32 which is as much as a plate in a very high end restaurant. Also the shrimp scampi was $30 however much more enjoyable, still not worth the price. Really you’re paying for the view and atmosphere here. Which is fine if you go in knowing that.

Awesome food!! Best Walleye I’ve ever tasted, fantastic steaks, shrimp scampi and more. We’ve been there with 4 people & last weekend we had a retirement dinner for 14. Gloria of course is fun & very accommodating. Ladies at the bar are rockstars, and can’t brag enough on the food. Fun place to have drinks & dinner.
