Went on here based on a friends review. His recommendation was spot on. The atmosphere was really cool in the old school house.It was nice other businesses were incorporated into the area as well. Was seated immediately, waitress came promptly. The menus are kind of cool, they look like report cards. The menu was pretty large with a wide selection of foods. The home fries were thick cut potatoes that were deep fried came out crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My vegetable omelette was hot and fresh with sausage gravy over everything was delicious. The wife ordered a breakfast combo and they were not shy on the bacon. Overall the price versus what you get seems spot-on plus it all tasted great.

Wow what a great little restaurant. The Google directions on Monroe Street takes you in the back way. Actually if you go to the “Old schoolhouse Commons” the restaurant is located in the commons. Using the Google maps instructions you’ll have to drive around to the front to find the restaurant. Enough about directions.——-This lady ordered my eggs perfectly! Seems like no one gets my instructions correct. So I had two eggs with sausage patties and a half a order of biscuits and gravy with coffee. I think that it probably took three minutes for the order to be on the table after I ordered it. The food was excellent! Biscuits and gravy…. Oh yeah very tasty. Super quick friendly service. Very kind and friendly staff. When I first walked him I thought this place is overstaffed. I counted seven employees. My thoughts were ….. “l don’t think this place can hold 40 people. The size of the building – the number of tables and the number of staff seemingly didn’t add up. The thing is they are fast. Obviously a very high customer turnaround time. Very cool nostalgic feeling going into the old school. What can I say about breakfast? Well this place is worth the 11 bucks I spent. I had a tasty meal with great service and generous portions. Another thing is that this place is clean! I like clean restaurants!!! Go for it you’ll love this place it’s a little bit out-of-the-way seemingly a weird – out of the way drive – but go you won’t be disappointed.

The Lunchroom is a gem in Bedford. This dinner has the best breakfast and lunch food in the area. I would rate there malted pancakes and waffles with the best I’ve had anywhere in the country. It’s also very economical and has a small town atmosphere. If you enjoy a great meal served by some great people make sure to give the lunchroom a try!

While this restaurant has a great atmosphere, and happy and kind service the food was downright awful. I so wanted to like it but the biscuits had a foul taste, not sure if they were frozen and baked or?? The gravy also had a nasty taste. Possibly scorched flour taste? The hash Browns were a disgrace. No other type of potato option was available. As I do not like shoestring style hashbrownsbut willing to try them they were overcooked. I had asked for golden brown…no they were hard as a rock and very very brown. The coffee had a burnt flavor to it. The eggs was the only thing cooked correctly. My companion had a strawberry crepe, however the crepe was to thick and crispy, tasted a bit charred. She is blind and could not see her food but has good sense of taste, she was not happy with the crepe. Her eggs were a bit crunchy on the edges of her over easy eggs. Her white toast was hard. So overall we were not happy and very doubtful we will ever return.
