The burgers here are insanely good! I visited based on the great reviews and they were accurate I got the Brisket Burger and it was stacked with tasty brisket, a massive patty and cheese from all angles. I pushed for the Pineapple upside down cake and it was phenomenal as well. This place is a ‘must try’!

Ok… we went to our favorite hamburger joint, Schmidty’s Burgers!! Their burgers are top notch and the quality of their burgers/ toppings are in a class of their own! The ownership and staff are always accommodating and cordial, you just have to speak up a bit because it’s hard for them to hear you in the back while they are preparing a little piece of heaven on a bun! For those of you who didn’t already know, they are in a new building of of Sherman and 15th. They moved because their old place burnt down few years back.

We went to Schmidty’s for our first time a couple of days ago. These guys knocked it out of the park. I consider myself a pretty decent cook, so it’s not often that I get a burger that I couldn’t even come close to making at home. Schmidty’s has exactly that. Insanely tasty burgers, great onion rings made in house, great service, fair prices. Cherry and vanilla syrups next to the soda fountain are a nice touch. I will most definitely be back soon and often.

Great food!! My husband and I went in on a Saturday afternoon for some lunch and had a great experience! I ordered the BBQ Cheddar Burger and it was overwhelming how big it was- in the best way! The burger came with onion rings on top and I did end up taking those off so I could eat the burger. The burger itself had great flavor, cooked well, and was smash-burger style. My husband ordered the pull pork sandwich and commented that it was good. Their fries are delicious as well! The staff was efficient with taking our order and getting the food out to us as we had just barely sat down and the girl brought it to us. Will definitely be eating here again the next time I am through town!

They had short hours on the Sunday that we were there and we arrived just in time. We were told that Schmidty’s had the best burgers around and they did not disappoint. From the stellar customer service to the scrumptious food and cozy small town atmosphere I would certainly visit here again.

All I csn say is wow… I sure love my burgers and I’ve had some good ones but this place really is a class above the rest. Quality ingredients and perfectly prepared. Service is great and the dinning area is just right. The mushrooms alone on this burger are worthy of 5 stars. The bananas foster should be illegal.

Rubin sandwich bread was soggy wet and very salty? I don’t think it was even on rye bread. Couldn’t tell. Tried to take the bread off but it was too wet and fell apart.The fries were also very soggy and too salty to eat. It was a pick up order maybe that’s why it was wet. I say wet because it was more than soggy. More of a soup than a sandwich. . And I’m not a picky person. Don’t write bad reviews But for 17$ I expect to be able to eat my meal. Maybe it was an off day.

If you are visiting the area and really want an awesome burger, skip the fancy places downtown and hit this little joint! Clean, simple place but the food (as the local who told me about it put it) is to die for! I got “The Brisket” as a wrap and paid extra for sweet potato fries. Best. Fries. Ever! My husband said they were and I agree! He got the half cod and fries basket and wished he’d gotten the full. We also walked from the lake. A little over a mile one way. So an easy hike.
