Only thing is while eating, I saw a little bug crawling on my tray and dont know if it was from the food or the paper. I didn’t say anything because I was with my boss and didn’t want to ruin our meals. I smooshed it with a napkin and kept on moving. Sometimes hou gotta just keep keepin on! Lol
Id still go back tho. Of course if it happens again, I will definitely say something.
The place was empty when we came in. It was very clean and the counter was neatly organized.
The lady helping us was friendly and seem to enjoy her job. She was very helpful and actually gave us updates as we waited for the fresh cinnamon buns. She even told my wife to warm it up for 10-15 seconds in the microwave if we eat it later and they have cooled down.
We enjoyed the service and more importantly, those cinnamon buns were delicious and just the way my wife remembered them to be.
In my small home town (Sahuarita, AZ), Schlotzky’s opened their doors and I opened my mouth to a favored kids pizza every month. Last week, I was happily surprised to find that this old Sugar Land, TX location served up the same, childhood memory tastes that I loved so much!
Of course, such quality and consistency comes at a price, so be prepared to dish out 20% more than comparable for these “gourmet” dishes.
It’s not the best place for a bite, but it is fast, deli-cious and comparably healthy. They have a drive-thru as well, with a large dessert (Cinnabon?!) menu.
Another location caters my company lunches on occasion, and I will say that I was, again, pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality their box lunches provided.
If they could get their prices down, this would be a much more appealing choice for cheapo taste. However, I know that getting prices down will come with the risk of messing with nostalgic perfection.
Their food is always fresh, good, meaty, hot, just desirable. Their sandwiches are the size of your entire hand if not larger, even the kids sandwiches are big. I tried their lemonade for the first time yesterday, that’s pretty good too, just like any other drink here.
If you don’t know what to get your kid since they are picky, try to get them to eat a grilled cheese with ham and/or turkey, its very good and filling. If you get it without ham it kinda sucks though.
The service is just as good, sure it may be a while until you get your food but they are determined to make it fresh and not keep it under a heatlamp all day. If you don’t like waiting for 10 minutes just order on their website, takes less than a minute both on your phone and at the window.
The stripcenter is also nice, not a lot to say about it besides it having a ton of parking.
