We’re staying in Manitowoc from out of town and wanted a good fish fry. I have a poultry allergy so most soups are out of the question including clam chowder. The waitress wrote it on our slip, the cook even asked if the cooking oil was okay since chicken was also made in it. Very, very considerate.
The waitress was super nice and the bar atmosphere was “Cheers” like. People were calling each other’s names from across the bar.

$60 2 Perch dinners. Fish were thin as sheet of paper. Chewed like rubber. And extremely salted ! Coleslaw was like eating Miracle Whip out the jar. Sent out cold. Fries were in oil from 3 days ago. Over rated crap. Never again.

If I could give this charming place a 10 I would. Our first time here and we found a gem. Cream of potato soup came out hot tasty and before the entree.. Prime rib was done perfectly. Our server was friendly and efficient. A rare quality now days. We will be back. Thank you.

Very nice, reasonably priced bar and restaurant. My wife had the broasted chicken, and I had the broasted pork. They were very tasty and reasonably priced.
The service here is unbelievable. The servers move so fast and are so attentive. When we’re in the area, this is one, we’ll look up again.
Not sure, but it appeared that the owner was walking around and checking on patrons To see if they were satisfied. Not your typical place in today’s world.

Delicious food and good drinks. We go usually on Fridays and despite typically being very busy the wait is reasonable and the bar and table service is always great. My wife likes the tenderloin and scallops. The 14oz ribeye is good as well. I have also had the Broasted chicken and Ribs that were good. For dessert the tortes are really good.

This is my friend’s bar. Known them since 2010. They have owned it since 1986. Long story short.
1. Owner’s, staff and location is amazing. The people that work there are just spot on and super amazing
2. Food is so good. They have the best drink and food prices around.
3. Beat beat best deserts ever. I typically take 2 home with me for later in the week.
4. Soup is out of this world. Homemade everyday
5. Small supper club, don’t let this fool you. On a Friday night the bar is full. The dinning room is full and the 3 tables in the bar are full. Then they have 3 rows of people standing between the bar and the bar tables. You know its worth the wait.
6. When I go Manitowoc now, since I dont live there, I dont find anything that is better then this place to eat so I always will take an hour and go eat here.
Must eat and btw if your 21+ try a grasshopper drink. They are so good here
