Just moved to Gardnerville/Minden NV area. I work directly across the street from this establishment. Being a coffee snob (lol), I went in 1 day and had an Americano. Absolutely what it should have been. Starbucks take note. Small and quaint, home-town feel, staff is great, with a shout out to Alyssa! Wed-Fri she makes the perfect Americano for me. The sourdough bread is incredible as well. Would recommend dropping by. You won’t be disappointed…

I haven’t been to a Schat’s in a long time and the one in Minden, Nevada is great. Lots of fresh baked goods and breakfast burritos to be had. The wait staff is friendly and the baked goods were just as good as I remembered.

Clean shop, lots of choices. We ate at the restaurant, the food came to the table fast.
The sandwiches were great, they also had some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. Side salad was slimy though, the workers need to pay more attention to that. You could visually see the slimy dark greens of the arugula.

Love stopping in for a made to order breakfast. The menu is very small. Just a few items for breakfast and a handful of items for lunch. My family loves their bread options as we favor the sliced Asiago cheese breads, especially for BLT nights! The staff is always so friendly. The only negative is their desserts. It’s not always the freshest because they told us it gets brought over from Carson every few days. So the cookies can be rather dry/stale. Pro tip, order and special cakes in advance and they will make in time for your birthday/gathering and have it sent over from Carson. Their cakes are TOP NOTCH.

We love the food at Schat’s Bakery and Restaurant. For me I especially like the Danishes, I went back to get a second one lol.
My girlfriend said the coffee was really good and preferred it to the coffee shops nearby.
They did a good job decorating the space. The ambiance says it all, small town bakery!
I thoroughly enjoyed the staff there. One of them even made some jokes and had us laughing while ordering. Good time!
