Absolutely stunning environment. The atmosphere of this restaurant is a 1000/10. I would definitely come back! Try and secure one of the private tables by the stairs if you have a special occasion. The fall harvest sangria was amazing! The perfect romantic date night location.

What a darling place for a date night dinner or just a fabulous family dinner. We loved the decoration for Valentine’s Day. There was entertainment at the piano bar which was nice. We highly recommend the spanakopita, cowboy steak and mushroom raviolis. Service and food were excellent!

Good visit. Appetizer was a crab cake. Dinner was fish and fish. All very good. The menu has changed a lot from 30 years ago. It was still decorated for Valentine’s Day which made it special and unplanned.

Great atmosphere along with generous drinks and delicious food. The short rib was awesome and the chicken was perfect. We were sitting in a great spot that was semi private, quiet and yet able to see most of the restaurant and enjoy the ambiance. A repeat for sure.

Food was cold, waitress was too busy to even listen to us. Never explained the specials and was annoyed that I asked her what was actually in it or what it came with. I ordered Chicken Milanaise, expecting a thin pounded, moist cutlet. It was a dry hunk of fried chicken- inedible. I asked for a side of sauce to help. Room temp sauce, 20 minutes later for my ice cold meal. The salads/dressings for the table were all wrong. No water refills, no dirty dish picked up between courses. Bread basket was cold. Not even 1 pat of butter per roll. She didn’t know the soups or the vegetables of the day. I found a special holiday cocktail online, when I asked for it, she said they didn’t have it. I pulled it up on my phone to show her. It was the only good thing i had. Even the ricotta cheesecake was dry. Our very tight table was in front of a window. The glare was so bright you actually couldn’t see. I asked the mgr. If there was a shade or a way to close the curtain. No there was nothing they could do. UNACCEPTABLE! There is no way the sun doesn’t come through everyday? And nowhere to move a party of 8 already in a space designed for 6. It Is a gorgeous place but I wouldn’t pay for an overpriced terrible meal again. There are alot of better luxurious boutique restaurants now, that would treat us WAY better!

Great restaurant just off route 35 with a unique interior. We had a corporate event there and the layout is different than most with terraced tables lining the entrance to the main floor. The bar is stocked with great top-shelf spirits and the food is good. They go all out with the decorations.

I can’t say enough good things about Scarborough Fair. From the moment you walk in, you just feel that warm, cozy, top-notch atmosphere that makes you instantly relax. It’s charming without trying too hard, elegant but still comfortable.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re going all out for a special celebration or just treating yourself “just because,” it never disappoints. What really sets it apart, though, is the whole experience. The service is genuinely great. Servers are attentive without hovering, friendly without being over the top. And those little dining nooks? Such a game changer. They add that extra bit of privacy and intimacy that makes it perfect for date nights or meaningful conversations.
Scarborough Fair is one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. Five stars all the way.

Headline: Total kitchen breakdown—missing half the ingredients
I’ve long appreciated the unique, “enchanted” atmosphere at Scarborough Fair, but my recent dinner was a major disappointment in terms of basic kitchen standards. I ordered the Brodetto di Mare, a signature dish that relies on a specific harmony of ingredients.
What actually arrived was a shell of the menu description. The dish was missing the scallops, basil, shallots, and the teardrop tomatoes. Essentially, 50% of the dish—including a primary protein—was absent. When I pointed this out, the server was apologetic but admitted that the kitchen hadn’t even informed her they were out of those items. It is unprofessional for a kitchen to send out a $40+ entree with the main components missing without notifying the guest first. To the restaurant’s credit, once the error was identified, management did remove the charge for the dish from my bill. I appreciate them making it right financially, but the lack of communication between the kitchen and the floor staff ruined the meal. If you’re going to charge Sea Girt prices, the execution needs to be far more consistent.
We also ordered hot honey brussel sprouts. What we received was a dry, charred plate with no hint of hot honey.
On a positive note the Fig/Honey sour cocktail was amazing and our server Brianna was very good. This has been our go to anniversary spot for years, we will be going elsewhere next year.

We were a group of 9 with a reservation a month in advance and we were seated in the bar area, which was very disappointing. When we arrived and saw where they wanted to seat us, we asked to be seated in the main dining room and they said they could not accommodate a group that large in the main dining room. We should have been told this when we made our reservation.

The food was good but nothing outstanding. The service was super slow and the waitress was not very attentive.

Our group of 9 goes out to dinner every 6-8 weeks, always picking a new restaurant but in the case where a place is very good we will go there multiple times. Scarborough Fair was the most expensing restaurant we have attended in the last 4 years, It was not worth the money.

No one had any complaints about the food, although I will say the New England Clam chowder is anything but a chowder. It was super liquidy and not at all creamy and thick like most New England Clam chowders. We sent it back.

Biggest issue we had was we did not like our table at all, being seated in the bar, and service was super slow. We were there over 3 hours.

We will not be going back!

Very romantic place. Three course price fixed menu for Valentines Day.

Very nice choices for the appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

Total price on the high side but it was Valentines Day. They included a 20% tip in the bill something that I’m not a fan of. Fortunately, we had a good server who earned the gratuity.

Reservations very much recommended during the year but mandatory on special occasions.
