6 months ago this place was great, my original review is below.

Quality, service, and atmosphere have taken a nose dive. They don’t even serve chips and salsa anymore. REALLY!? A Mexican restaurant without chips and salsa! The food was very bland. I have never had white rice at a Mexican restaurant. They have painters plastic separating one-third of the dining area where they have their kids hanging out watching TV.

I am thankful that we didn’t bring anyone with us. I used to brag about this place. Now I would be embarrassed to take anyone here.

If mama is a classically trained chef, then this is home cooking. The sauces are brilliant; nuanced not overpowering. Most Mexican cooking is so heavy with spice that each individual spice can not be tasted. Sazon’s sauces are a treat for the tongue, balanced in such a way that each area of the tongue gets it’s own treat. Masterful cooking that will wow you.

Most chili rellenos are deep fried gut bombs, dripping with oil, then smothered in red sauce to mask the greasiness. Sazon’s is crisp fried to perfection, sauce drizzled for looks and function and the red sauce in the plate, not smothering the entree, allowing you to taste the pepper as well it’s stuffing.

The dessert that we tried, the choco flan was a disappointment. It was only average. At a mediocre restaurant this would shine, but after the brilliance of the entrees, it paled in comparison.

This little gem of a restaurant unfortunately is located in one of the worst locations possible. If it were in an upscale area they could charge three time the price and diners would feel like it was a deal. It is worth the drive; Google the directions and treat yourself to a great find.

The most tasteful Mexican food I had ever had, perfect taste perfect ambience clean restaurant super dining experience in full. Excellent service at the table, bathrooms are clean the whole place is wonderful and the best of all is the price very affordable big value for less. You need to experience this by yourself. My plate had a beautiful presentation I had chicken Sazon, it was a big WAOOO you also need to try the taco soup it will blow you away. This is one you will not regret! I guarantee you this ! A very unique taste to what real Mexican food is. Everything taste fresh you will love it. The restaurant as beautiful as it can be.

And my dessert was as good as my main course fresh and fabulous. What an experience for sure I will be back.

So incredibly delicious! The food here is amazing. I had the shrimp enchiladas and was so impressed. The tortillas for the enchiladas were made there and were light with amazing flavor. Everything we had was superb. Do yourself the favor of trying this place.

Wonderful dining experience. My husband and I wanted some Mexican food and Google brought us here. When we arrived there it was almost empty so where it too sure of the placed but stayed. I ordered the Fajita trio which was delicious. It was not served on a skillet but on a regular plate. The meat was soft, non greasy or any fatty pieces. The beans were good. You must order a side of guacamole!!! I didn’t eat the rice because I was watching my diet but my husband loved it!! He ordered the chile rellenos which was huge and he was devouring it. He said that it was the best chile relleno that he has ever tried. He is super special with his food so this was good. Must try the homemade tortillas. I told the attendant that I needed a drink without sugar so she made me a special Jar of Jamaica without sugar. That was nice of her. They still went above and beyond to attend us even if they were closing soon.
This is a family own restaurant, super clean and great customer service. The owner and his wife are the cooks. The husband is a professional chef that has worked in various prestigious places. His food is authentic Mexican that is made without the grease. We enjoyed our time. We felt at home. We will go back soon with the entire family.

The owner stopped by to see if we were satisfied. I got Berrian tacos, which had insane flavor with every bite. Husband’s chili relleno was huge, and he dug in before I could get a picture. Our first time there but definitely not the last.

Upon entering the restaurant, place was very clean and had business. I was then met with the heat of the place, the ac was off or out. They had floor fans going all around the restaurant.

The hostess he was very friendly and led me to a table. He went and retrieved a Big Chalk Menu board . Which was pretty neat to me to see what they had to offer.

The fresh guacamole is very delicious $6, but well worth it and very nice serving (picture added). Hostess suggested many items with details.

I ordered the 3 Tacos and went for 1 chicken, 1 beef. The brisket taco was amazing and came with rice and beans.

If your plan on going, make sure you are looking for real good, its in a old strip mall sort of empty and sits back aways. Look for the yellow metal entrance. Also it is BYOB

Sauces & spices I think are their strengths. Very well balanced and accentuates the dish without taking over the main flavors. Great couple running this place, hope they have success.

Incredible Mexican restaurant that stands out among the plethora of cookie cutter TexMex restaurants. Authentic, unique flavors made to order by a chef. The chili relleno with brisket was delicious and the signature pollo sazon stuffed with charizo and topped with a savory sweet sauce was very original. Home made corn tortillas, freshly prepared guacamole and excellent thick queso. If you are looking for something different, give Sazon a try.

Impromptu dinner at Sazon today! This happens to be my second visit. Owner explained the background of the cheeses in the queso dip and I understand it more even though it was more on the bland side for me.
