I sampled two varieties of chilaquiles, both of which were flavorful, with the green option being quite spicy. Either choice was enjoyable. However, the papa con chorizo Gordita did not meet my expectations. There was no line or wait time for a table. The service was average, without anything remarkable. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quick meal.

For the life of me, I can’t tell you how I heard about the is place, but I’m glad I finally made it. All the meats have great flavor and very fresh tasting. I had a Gordita and 3 tacos. I prefer the Gordita masa to me a little more grilled/ crispy. But not really a complaint because it was delicious. The tacos I tried were pastor, fajita and chicken. Excellent. And the salsa they bring to the table were all good as well.

Lots of people at lunchtime. Thought that was a good indicator of great things to come. It wasn’t.
I ordered their signature Gordita’s. One each of, chicharrón, barbacoa and pastor. Chicharrón was the best, but for the price and serving size it was not worth it. Solid flavors, but nothing O would go back for.

Food is good but the customer service is terrible, they will never give you coffee refills and you’re lucky if they bring the tortillas that come with the food. I asked the waitress for my put my coffee refill to go and I got changed for 2 coffees. I really like their food but I’m not coming back again.

This was our second visit to Sazón Los Abuelos, and while the food remains good, the service still leaves much to be desired. On our first visit, I was disappointed to find they didn’t offer half-and-half for the coffee creamer. Additionally, they charge extra for handmade tortillas and for paying with a debit or credit card.
This time, I was eager to try the chilaquiles, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor service. Our waitress disappeared for an extended period, and although another person eventually brought our food, we were left without salsa or coffee refills. The waitress reappeared only after about 15 minutes and asked if everything was okay, by which point the eggs were already cold.
While the handmade tortillas are still delicious and the food quality is good, the $3 charge for a 4oz coffee that isn’t refilled feels excessive. The lack of timely service really impacted our experience. I hope they can improve their service for a better overall dining experience in the future.

The food is really good, homey feel to it. It does get hot in the building a little crowded, but the food is worth it. Not to pricey… affordable. Would recommend to friends and family.

The best of best tamales on the northwest of Houston and fresh !!! Please do me a favor and come here for great priced Tamales that actually taste good they were so good I don’t even get a chance to take a picture much flavor and great salsa to go with them !!! Preferably green salsa !!

It’s ok. I ordered beef tacos on a flour tortilla and they gave me corn tortillas. It didn’t have enough onion and cilantro and the tacos looked a little squished. They tasted ok.
I also got a Mexican style burger but it was not appetizing. The tomatoes were not round and it looked like the ingredients were just thrown together.
The lady at the register just said, There’s your food.” as she tossed the bag on the counter. It was rude. Maybe you will get better treatment if you dine-in because then they may expect a tip? But, as for me, I am disappointed and I’m not going back.
