So..the wife and I were headed to eat some of the same ole stuff, just not at home. We drove past the old Buffalo Brady’s (some of y’all know) just off of Riverside drive and saw a Sazon Latino sign.
We kept driving as joy read the menu online…and kept reading…then we turned around to check it out. It is not the same old bar food of old…it is so much more.

Y’all go is all I can say. The music was playing low and made me wanna dance, the food… wow! The young lady who waited on us was patient and explained what each dish contained, as well as its country of origin – Puerto Rico and Columbia…and we asked a lot of questions. Then ordered a lot cause we couldn’t decide what we wanted. Needless to say, but I will say it…we ordered too much. Ate too much. And enjoyed each bit immensely.

I love that we are given opportunities to experience different foods…and if you guys want to enjoy a meal…let me say it again…y’all go!

We will be back…so maybe we will see ya there.

If you’re craving authentic Colombian food in Clarksville, El Sazón is definitely it!
The empanadas are absolutely delicious crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned on the inside. The bandeja paisa is delicious truly tastes homemade and makes you feel right at home from the first bite. The arepas are fresh. They serve Aguardiente and Aguila beer It really completes the experience. My only small wish is that they would replace the sausage with morcilla blood sausage for a more traditional touch but I understand that’s an acquired taste for many. Overall, everything was delicious can’t wait to be back.

Collins Avenue meets Riverside Drive Forreal though it’s a hidden gem in the city for the avid foodies to get a fragrant and new version of real Latin American food and it did not disappoint. Tatiana, was the hostess and she was exceptional and very thoughtful. I suggest they get a food truck and head up to North Clarksville or Hopkinsville. The food was majestic and nostalgic of trips to Florida. The arroz con gandules should be apart of the meals cause the plantain was a greasy, but together it was a phenomenal meeting of hearts. I had a passion fruit drink with milk. Can’t recall the name of it just look in the drink area on the menu I’ve included. Took steak and chicken empanadas to go and still delicious warmed up.

To each his own.

I wouldn’t mind checking it out on a Friday or Saturday for dancing!

Personally, the location is terrible. Google Map call outs took me past the driveway to get in the back where the restaurant is located in a white building. See photos for reference.

Highly recommend!

This place is where it’s at!!!
Lovely owners, amazing staff, and the perfect atmosphere to eat some good and authentic Puerto Rican and Colombian dishes!!! Especially if you’re Latino in the Clarksville area! And if you’re not, it’s still the best place to go to. 10/10 recommend visiting this place and taking part in the many events they host for the community!

I never knew this place was back there and now it’ll be added to my list of “go-to” food spots. Colombian food with high energy vibes inside sums up Sazon. I had the empanadas and the beef rib stew. Both were outstanding. Flavorful, filling, and cooked amazingly. The waitress was very patient and willing to explain what the items were on the menu to myself and my family. If you want some home-cooked south american cuisine with high energy and dancing, great staff and service, this is a good place to check out.

I had a wonderful first time experience at this restaurant! The people were so kind and welcoming. The food was delicious! This is a restaurant I would love to visit again. The only thing is that the music they had was too loud, but everything else was outstanding!!

Finally a great Latin restaurant in the area. It mixes the bes of both Puerto Rican cuisine and Colombian Cuisine. It has the freshness of Colombian Cuisine and the explosion of flavors you would expect from the Puerto Rican Cuisine. Great fusion cuisine.

I highly recommend any of the fresh juices especially with milk. The alcapurrias are on point and the Trifongo always great.

Just note if you expecting it to taste exactly like Colombian food or Puerto Rican food you might be disappointed since it is more of a fusion restaurant. However that is what in my opinion makes it great.

I ordered a sancocho, paid $18.00 and got a small bowl with one piece of meat, a few pieces of broken potatoes and the soup tastes like corn starch. Seems like they served me the scrapes from the bottom of the pot. Not worth $18.00. Those who know what sancocho is will know that this is not it. (See video)
