As a new Meriden resident, my neighbor recommended Sazón Con Fuego Dominican Restaurant—and wow, it did not disappoint! The owner and his son were so welcoming and funny, which made the visit even better.Also, VERY CLEAN restaurant.
I tried the Pernil over black rice with veggies, pork, chicken, and a fried egg—seasoned perfectly with that crispy skin on the side (if you know, you know). I also had steak with fall-off-the-bone barbecue ribs over flavorful yellow rice with olives. Everything was incredible! The yuca and Dominican raspberry soda topped it all off perfectly.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and wonderful people. I’ll definitely be back!

Food was good, I lived in the Bronx growing up with a variety of Spanish food spots and now its hard to find a good spot in CT. The staff are great, very nice. I wish they served alcohol or mixed drinks but honestly I think most people call in and pick up their food because the seating area is small. Big plus they have parking. Pernil rice and beans 10 stars.

Im from Hartford/ PR and we felt right at home at this adorable establishment! Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was AMAZING. Like the Avocado was perfectly ripe. I had the steak and pork yellow rice with sweet plaintain. This is our new fav spot! Def coming back during summer too!!

If you want and crave authentic home cooked food…this is the place for you. Absolutely hands down excellent service and food. However if there is a crowd, be prepared to wait, as William is the only cook. But trust me when I tell you it will be worth waiting for.

Had a very one-of-a-kind experience with my wife here. We walked in and were greeted immediately, as we were looking at their dishes my wife was excited with how great and neat everything looked. A man started walking toward us and asked, “first time here?” The man turned out to be the owner/chef, he let us try samples of the beef, pork, and poultry so we can decide which one to go with our plates. 10/10 experience and highly recommend their restaurant and food! Very good energy, knowledgeable and friendly people. My only regret is not getting the owners name!

The customer service was an absolute 10/10. The owner was incredibly friendly, patiently answering all my questions about the menu since I was new to this style of cuisine. They made navigating the main, side, and beverage combinations a breeze.
The food? A perfect 10/10! Everything was made fresh, and you could taste the quality in every bite. I ordered the Chimichurri Burger with their special sauce (a must-try!), Tostones, French Fries, and an authentic raspberry soda. It was incredibly flavorful and filling—I left completely satisfied with no room for more!
