Bartender Shana was great. Fun atmosphere including pictures/signs of defunct Saint Louis breweries such as Lemp and Greisedieck. Got the 2-meat combo entree with briscuit, ribs, fried pickles, onion rings, and bread. Fried pickles are a side dish so we didn’t have to get an entire appetizer. We couldn’t decide which bbq sauce to get so Shana brought us all 4 (did the same for another couple, seems like a thing). The ribs were very good, but the briscuit was dry. Plenty of draft beer choices. Overall a very good experience.

I had the Hot Italian sandwich which was excellent. Wife had the Cuban Sandwich which had her raving. My side was baked beans, which had meat in them. They were as good as I have ever had. Will go again.
Update:
Ordered the half rack of ribs. They were cooked perfectly, but amazingly bland. Ribs shouldn’t need sauce, but these do. They seem to have been oven baked with only a little salt, nothing else. Disappointing, but we will still go back, I just will not get the ribs.

Some of the best BBQ in St. Louis. My husband raves about the spicy steak and I love their turkey. Recently, I’ve gone lighter and got the salad. All delicious! Come for the music and stay for the food! This place gets rocking!

This location has had half a dozen things in it since I’ve lived here in 15 years, but I hope this one stays. The food is very good. Local selection for you beer drinkers. Live music in Wed and Saturdays, and it gets packed on those evenings. There’s 4 types of sauces, and all dressings, and rubs are made in house.

A new entry to my personal Top 5 list of *VERY* Hard to Find but Worth the Search restaurants. GPS mapping apps confusion + road construction along eastbound Manchester Road resulted in a first attempt drive-by that led to a U-turn through the West County Center parking lot on the opposite side of I-270, before our second attempt was successful by ignoring mapping instructions & following the Old Des Peres Road signage.
Once we finally arrived @ Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill, our party of three were treated to an excellent variety of meals: 1/2-rack Rib Platter with sides of steamed broccoli & sweet potato fries; Two Meat BBQ Combo with pulled pork & beef brisket and sides of Corn Nuggets & Baked Beans; and Spinach Salad with Fried Chicken Tenders added. The staff members from hostess station to table service (shout-out to our waitress Kassandra L) was very friendly & attentive, and our food was prepared & delivered surprisingly quickly considering the early weekday lunch crowd size. The acoustics in the dining area seem to be optimized for the pub’s Wednesday & Saturday live music events, so table & booth conversations require speaking up & listening intently between bites.
Serving portions were more-than-generous all around. My pulled pork was the juiciest & pleasantly smokiest that I’ve had in quite some time, and my brisket though slightly overdone was equally flavorful. I wouldn’t order the Corn Nuggets again (meh), but the very large sides menu selection offers plenty of options. All other dishes at our table were thoroughly enjoyed, and our leftovers were equally satisfying. We ended our meals with a shared order of Knot Holes for dessert (donut holes with cinnamon & sugar & caramel drizzle) which offered a sweet complement to our savory entrees.
We are all looking forward to another visit to Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill visit … now that we know how to get there.

Went here for the first time as of August 2023, since they had a now open sign up. The appetizers of Toasted Ravioli and Pickle Spears definitely felt like they were made in house! The T Rav was made with wontons, for a good crispness. Hubby said that the fried pickles were some of the better ones he tried around here!
The chicken salad had a nice amount of smoked, warm chicken, while the chicken parmesan was tender and juicy. The buttered red potatoes had a nice toasted edge to them. The baked beans had a sweetness with some of their bbq meat stirred in. The toasted bread had a bit too much butter and garlic, so if you are sensitive to those, be wary of them. It did have good flavor though! Overall, a tasty place with sports on the TV and live music occasionally. Next time I’ll try out the pulled pork!

Our first visit tonight, it won’t be our last. My wife had the shrimp platter with fried pickles and onion rings. I had the Big Beef Daddy burger with jalapeño mac n cheese bites.
The room was packed when we arrived (7pm on a Saturday) and we only had to wait 10 minutes. Everything about the place, the food, service, atmosphere (including live band) was exceptional. Big portions, great flavors. Can’t wait to come back and work my way through the menu. This big fat guy is happily bringing half my dinner home for tomorrow’s lunch.
