A wonderful new North Indian restaurant in the Lewisville area! The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious — the kale chaat and paneer pesto pasta are standouts. We also tried several non-veg appetizers and main courses, and each dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic taste and a great dining experience!

We started with the Avocado Dahi Puri, which was a total game-changer—creamy, crunchy, and refreshing all at once. The Eggplant Chaat was equally impressive, perfectly crispy with that addictive balance of sweet and tangy chutneys.
For the main event, the Thecha Paneer brought a bold, rustic heat that was incredibly satisfying, and washing it all down with their Kala Khatta Mojito drink felt like a nostalgic trip to the streets of Mumbai. Every bite was innovative, delicious, and clearly made with passion. Easily one of the most exciting dining spots in the area!

We had a fantastic experience at Sawai this past Saturday. Despite the restaurant being full, we were seated immediately by the courteous staff. The decor is truly unique—one wall is elegantly adorned with framed sarees, while the back features a beautiful backdrop showcasing Indian heritage.
This weekend featured the Marathi Thali, and it was exceptional. The flavors were authentic and reminded me deeply of home-cooked meals in India. Highlights included the refreshing Kokum Sarbat, perfectly made Bhakari, and Baigan Bharta. The Gud (jaggery) Roti was the perfect sweet touch. Highly recommended for anyone seeking genuine regional flavors!

Priya is a talented food curator and it’s been a pleasure to know and work with her for our catering needs over the years. We were waiting for the new Sawaii restaurant to open and the wait was well worth it. Have the kale chaat and the thecha paneer for sure and finish up with the apricot delight!

We ordered dishes from almost every section of the menu, and we were not disappointed. The flavors were on point across the board, and everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared.
One small piece of feedback would be regarding the Kolhapuri mutton dish. The taste itself was excellent, rich, and flavorful. However, the portion we received had more bones than meat. While we understand the meat had cooked down and softened beautifully, we would have appreciated having a bit more meat to actually bite into.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had the chance to speak with Chef Ranjit, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, a wonderful dining experience with just a small area for improvement. We would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality North Indian food in the area.
