The hibachi show is entertaining, but the pricing is completely irrational. Paying over $100 for three people—considering my 4-year-old daughter only ate a bit of rice and we had no alcoholic drinks—is unacceptable. Furthermore, the portions are tiny. You effectively pay 20-30% above market price only to leave the table hungry. It is an ideal place if you want to overpay and stay hungry.

Perhaps the hibachi experience is better, I’ll never know, because our one visit having sushi and Thai food was so disappointing that we’ll never be back. I’m not cheap – but $9.95 for egg roll? Prices across the menu seemed to be 20% higher than similar restaurants within a 5 mile radius – and there are several sushi and Thai places nearby. I don’t mind paying a premium for premium food and service but we found the food and service mediocre at best. The chicken satay was tough and bland with no cucumber salad. The sushi that was supposed to have avocado did not and the wrapper was so chewy my wife just peeled it away. The pineapple fried rice had ample good shrimp, chicken, and cashew, and it was frankly a huge portion – but the dominant flavor was kind of like a hotdog. I don’t know how that happens. I can drive just a few miles and find a similar menu with better food and lower prices at 3 or 4 places. We now call this place Been There Done That.

I have to say I don’t know who is giving this place good reviews. First off let me say this place is not cheap. Almost $40 for hibatchi steak and chicken with fried rice and unlike most hibachi places you didn’t get soup and salad with your meal it was soup OR salad so I am trying to understand why it was still so expensive. I would excused it if the food was good but everything was so bland and had no taste. They also replaced the shrimp appetizer you usually get with noodles as appetizer which again I wouldn’t have minded if it at least tasted good. The chef used hardly any salt and pepper no sauce and then just dumped minced garlic over everything at the end. First and LAST time ever coming here. There’s much better options for hibachi for the price don’t waste your time with this one

Sawa Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is absolutely outstanding! The chefs put on an amazing hibachi show that’s just as entertaining as it is delicious. Every dish was cooked to perfection, from the tender steak to the fresh sushi rolls bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome from start to finish. The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for family dinners, date nights, or celebrating special occasions. Highly recommend—this is hands down one of the best dining experiences in town!

My favorite place in south Florida for fresh sushi and hibachi, hands down, is Sawa! I’m amazed at how many great menu items there are to explore. I enjoy variety so coming back to discover new favorites is very exciting. The menu descriptions prime you for the visually pleasing and unique meal prepared for your table with your needs in mind. Even The decor in the restaurant is an elegant and inviting. I admit, sometimes I’ll look at others dishes and challenge myself to order for next time! You too will want to come back to expand your palate. Even just for their spectacular ginger dressing! And thank you Jessie for consistently taking my take out orders with accuracy and care. It doesn’t go unnoticed!

Overall great experience. Little pricey…but what hibachi isn’t these days. The food was good, the hibachi show is a little lacking compared to others I’ve been to. But still fun. The atmosphere is nice and modern while still warm and inviting. So great there. I’ll definitely be back as it’s local and still better than the chain ones around here.

The food was awful- rice was dry and crunchy, chicken and steak tasted weird and even the drinks tasted awful.
A waste of money. The restaurant was small & icky.
Don’t waste your time or money.

The place is beautiful, tables are amazing, bathrooms are spotless. The sushi is 10/10 could not rave more about it’s taste, freshness, and presentation. Best ginger dressing I’ve ever had. Serving staff was polite, prompt, and really put together.
With all that being said:
Our hibachi chef was lack luster. I don’t know if he was having a bad day, or if he had something personal going on, but he didn’t really provide the show one expected from the price tag and the atmosphere, and he seemingly forgot about the existence of salt for the majority of the meal.
Unfortunately, I probably wont be back for Hibachi, but I would make the trip back out there to see what the kitchen has to offer, and absolutely will go back again for the sushi.
5 stars because I’m not going to drag them for a single lackluster performance.
