Tried it for the first time today, and they had a buy one get one 50% off deal. I got the italian sub with sweet potato fries & cinnamon butter, a white pizza, and an extra cheese pizza for my family to sample & share. It was so delicious! And only 46 bucks, a great deal. This would have been like 100 anywhere else. The sauce had so much flavor. Everything was wonderful and I will be back to try some more of the creative options next, I like to start simple when I try a new place.

Pizza was amazing. Service was great. The appetizers taste like frozen food reheated. But the pizza is what you come here for. Definitely try this place out.

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Savage for many years now!
He may not know of me, but I remember admiring him at sound fitness as a young man for many years when he had arms bigger than Popeyes! Over the years I’ve gotten to enjoy and watch his business grow from the storefront by Epiphany to his shop today.
I can hardly imagine the work the goes in to this amazing business. A Savage pizza is a regular means of celebration in my house! I can taste the attention to detail in every bite. From one small business owner to another. I love every bit of this business! Thank you for making New Bern a more lovely place. You and yours have made so many nights just that much more memorable in my home. Thank you for your amazing product and this business good sir! New Bern is a better place because of your pies!!!

I’m largely reviewing because there is so little information that they serve alcohol. The Sam Adams seasonals were Summer Ale and Octoberfest.
I had the California Dream’n pizza and it was really good. My wife tried the Mediterranean and thought the tomato sauce was bland. So, everyone has their favorite and opinion.

If you are visiting for the pizza, you are in the right place! Excellent crust, sauce was tasty and proportional. We got a medium which we thought was a good size. We were very happy with the pizza and service.
The ambiance isn’t amazing, but is utilitarian- serves its purpose, a place to consume pizza. I have no complaints. Don’t come here if you are looking for the Ritz.
My only complaint is that they should not have served the caprese today. The tomatos were not tasty, the basil was wilted and overall it wasn’t a fresh salad. My fault, it’s winter and I shouldn’t have ordered it…Their fault for letting it out of the kitchen.
I live about 30 mins away. I WILL be back for the pizza.

What a neat little pizzeria just slightly off the beaten path in historic New Bern.
Built in what seems to be an old house, the service was good and the food was great.
The bruschetta, the pizza, the garlic knots were fantastic. I ordered too much and ate most of it.
I find it nearly impossible to find pizza I don’t like, but Savage’s really exceeded my expectations.
A great spot, come check it out – you won’t be disappointed.

I did takeout. This was my first time here. Checked it out because it has a solid reputation. The restaurant was lovely. I could go back to dine in… I ordered a pizza margarita and a Greek vegetable pizza. I’ve been in New Bern for 6 years. This was the best pizza I’ve had (tried alot or them). It’s not even particularly close. The crust was excellent. The sauce is delicious. It was fresh. The service was excellent. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure. We are lucky to have a pizzeria in town that is reasonably priced with fresh, delicious food.

Lived here for 4.5 years and this is the first time we visited. Small restaurant with limited parking, the outside of the building isn’t that impressive, but they seem to have a good take out service. Food was great and we will definitely be back.

I just tried their chicken parm and unfortunately it wasn’t to my liking or satisfaction and it tasted bland but the chicken and cheese was the best part of it and the only thing that didn’t taste bland. Their pizza is always good and I figured to try their pasta for the first time ever. Now I’m wishing that I got a different pasta or pizza instead.

My son wanted pizza. So I searched and I found this restaurant a short walk from our river front hotel. He is used to your typical pizza place and I wasn’t hoping he would like this place. Now it is small so seating is limited but that adds charm to the place. But even though there were people waiting the waitress never rushed us. There are also a few outside tables. My son ordered a bacon pizza and fries covered in mozzarella and bacon. They were both so good. My son so enjoyed his meal. He kept saying how delicious everything was. We will definitely return when in the area.
