10/10! Amazing service, great food and an overall welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very kind and even prepared a special fruit bowl for my sister. I got french toast and it was delicious! Definitely reccomend it!

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner while driving through on a weekend trip. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately, our waitress, ‘Kate’ was very kind and attentive, the food was excellent. You can tell it’s a family owned and operated restaurant. It’s clean, tidy and the staff are friendly. Would stop again if we’re back in the area!

We stopped for a late lunch yesterday. When we were seated I apologized for not knowing that they close at 3 as it was 2:40. Our waitress assured us that we were fine, everything was still up and running and there was no need for us to hurry. The food was excellent, our coffee cups were always refilled and the restaurant is extremely clean. We will definitely make the trip from the Dells area to enjoy this great place again very soon.

First time here but breakfast skillet was amazing. Fluffiest biscuits I’ve ever eaten. My husband’s omelet and pancake were excellent as well. We’ll definitely return!

Tried for breakfast. Live local. After reading reviews, had higher expectations that what our family experienced. The silverware was dirty inside the rolled napkin. Our waitress was not friendly. Perhaps she was having a bad day but we still expect customer service to be professional. She smelled of smoke. Our bacon and toast were cold. Asked for hot toast, brought us out warm, hard toast. Just asked for bacon to be taken off our bill. They did honor this request. We most likely will not return or suggest to anyone.

I just ate the best fajitas ever!!! Huge portions, excellent flavors, great service. They accommodated my dietary requests without question. This was my first time at Sauk City Family Restaurant and I will go back. Great menu choices!

Stropped there on Tuesday Nov. 26 at 2:45 pm. Waitress informed us in a stern voice they were closing in 15 minutes. Ordered coffee with our meal and was told she had dumped the coffee so none was available. At ten to three another customer came in and was told they were closed.She started vacuuming the floor as we were eating our meal. I owned a restaurant for years. You always seat customers even if you are closing soon. If they want coffee, you make a fresh pot. Never, never vacuum or place chairs on the tables while customers are there. Will not be back, Waitress needs to be retrained.

Went to brunch on Sunday at Sauk City Family Restaurant, the brunch menu was a good price with not to bad of choices. They had a omelet station which was amazing, however the “precooked” eggs were like ones you would receive at a free breakfast at a super 8. They also didn’t have pancakes on the buffet table which was a little strange- they did have French toast though. Loved the option of the fresh fruit and breakfast pastries. The pastries however seemed like some were prepackaged ones- which again odd since they have a huge array of pies and goodies. All in all not bad, but could have some room for improvement.

A sweet diner with LOTS of personality, excellent staff and great food. We came in from the chilly weather, Ashley met us with a smile. She asked if we wanted a beverage, I replied ‘surprise me, I’ll drink whatever you bring’. She brought a steaming cup of the best hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate drizzles on top. It was like a fabulous chocolate bar melted in my cup. The chef did a great job, our wraps were wondeful, lightly grilled to perfection. The place is charming and well cared for. I’m very particular about resteraunts and bathroom’s being clean. This place is immaculate. The hostess was on her hands and knees washing the entry floor between customers. You can tell the team cares for this business. Ashley gave me a parting gift, a handmade wood business card that doubles as a kitchen magnet. It absolutely compliments the wood artwork hanging on the walls. Next time we are out this way, you can be sure we will stop here. Thanks for a nice dining experience!
