This place is AMAZING. The food was SO flavorful and delicious. I got the cilantro Buffalo tenders which were incredible, and my husband got the Cleveland hot sandwich and loaded fries which were excellent (and not too spicy). The staff were super kind and friendly, explained the menu to us, checked on us, gave us drink on the house, and told us they hoped to see us back soon when we left. They were seriously so kind and combined with the awesome food, we had the best experience. Will definitely be back next time we are in Cleveland!

Maybe I’m crazy, but I cannot find this place and their social media has not responded.

I’ve found nothing driving by the Moen location, and the Rocket location seems to be only accessible with event tickets.

I’m happy to update this review once someone responds to let me know if/where I can find this place without buying event tickets.

Update: Thanks for responding. The one time I had food from here was memorably delicious, so my rating has been updated. Hopefully we’ll be able to access this restaurant again soon!

Loved the Dete wings!
The art work on the the walls, was stellar… ✨️!
The fries could’ve been more crunchy. The Philly fries was still pretty good anyway. I want to try the street corn next time . Staff was genuinely friendly. Thanks for the free soda, that was very generous !

First time trying this place was about a week ago and the next time was last week.

I’ve had the hottest chicken and I have always been skeptical about street corn because I pay for quality. Well, Sauce the City has a way to your taste buds. The street corn for anyone picky or who has never had it before: It’s that good that those type of people tried some of mine and wanted me to drive an hour back to pickup a whole bunch of them. I also was a mexican street corn virgin until Sauce the City inspired me.

I saw the photos of the beautifully displayed food and I immediately had to try this place….a place that makes your food with creativity, love and pride in how they represent their food, company, and flavors.

All in all, it’s a must-go and worth the drive. I drove 55 minutes. Make sure you bring an empty stomach!

I will be referring all that I can to Sauce the City.

I stopped into the Sauce the City today for lunch with a friend since
I’m visiting back in town from Phoenix. It was recommended by a
bunch of people as a MUST VISIT in Cleveland.
Let me tell you, the SAUCE in this spot, did NOT disappoint! To start
the location is great! There’s a stunning prime view of the downtown
skyline straight out of the storefront windows down the looking
Detroit-Superior Bridge. The high ceilings and alternating brick walls
adorned with colorful artwork create a fresh “trendy” clean-cut urban
vibe that make it a versatile spot to throw a party, have night out with
friends, or just grab a lunch and hang!
The food however was the main selling point. I saw Chef Vick behind
the counter creating the work of art that was my Smoked BBQ
chicken sandwich and street corn. Living in Phoenix now, street corn
has become a staple of my diet, and this is some of the best I’ve ever
had! The sandwich had the perfect balance of sweet and savory with
perfectly cooked chicken that had a nice crisp! Check the photos! It
was incredible!
My friend had the crispy portobello burger (he’s a vegetarian) and he
was also blown away by the flavor! These sauces are unmatched!
I was extra hungry today so I also grabbed a spicy chicken pizza with
a ranch drizzle. It had the perfect amount of heat and was cooked to
perfection. I brought some home to my mom, who isn’t even a fan of
spicy food, and she devoured it in minutes and asked where I got it
If you’re looking for a new entrant in the chicken sandwich wars that
blows away the competition.. SPRINT to Sauce the City before this
place is famous!

The food hall concept of Sauce the City is fantastic! We had burgers, it was Cleveland Burger Week after all, but there are 3 other restaurants from which to choose, due to the owner’s generous incubator spaces for new chefs/fledgling restaurateurs! There are paintings by local artists on display (for sale). The Smokehouse Burger was flavorful, tender and creatively topped with chopped toppings (bacon, lettuce, tomato, etc.), which ensures that you get some of everything in each wonderful bite! The street corn was good and very juicy. I totally recommend this place if you’re looking for a casual spot, especially a black-owned one!

The gentleman that took my order was very nice. I advised him it was my 1st time coming in and asked what he recommended. He went with the Dete Sandwich and Fries. The sandwich did have some good flavor but it was not fresh. It was tenders on a bun. The restaurant gives you the option to pick a sandwich, tenders, or wings if I am not mistaken, and I picked the sandwich. I assumed it would be a whole piece of chicken, instead I had 3 or 4 small pieces slapped on a bun. The fries were cold and seemed to have been sitting out for quite some time. It definitely was not worth $15. I think all the food should be made to order and I do not feel like that is the case when I went there. I would try it again if it was free.

This was a blind try me and hubby decided to give this place a chance because we were hungry and wanted wings the wings and funnel cake was really good. I didn’t care for the street corn. The sauce that was on top didn’t sit well with me. I thought it was sour cream. I ask for the chicken sandwich with coleslaw. I didn’t want a spicy sauce I wanted a more sweet barbecue sauce, but I didn’t get that I got a chicken sandwich and it looks like it has spring mix on top of it and by the time I got home the spring mix was slimy I didn’t care for it. We also tried the Philly with the cheese sauce on top. I hated it the meat was overly seasoned and very salty. I just recommend calling ahead to order because we waited a bit for it.

Our company tried Sauce the City for our company meeting today and they absolutely delivered! Chef Vic and his staff were very accommodating and friendly. They also made sure all of the food was ready for pickup and made the accommodations were requested. Excellent community business and I highly suggest checking them out for catering or even your family or personal lunch or dinner.

Today I went to “Sauce in the City”with my daughter and little sister. I enjoyed my selections 1,000 % I got the Cilantro chicken sandwich with corn and hot wings. Upon entering the establishment I found the eatery to be clean and well maintained. As my family walked in we were promptly greeted by the owner “Victor”who took our order. He helped us with the menu and my sister who frequents often says he’s pretty consistent. The icing on the cake was when he sent over free alkaline waters for everyone in my party. This may seem minuscule to some but that spoke volumes to the excellence this place serves. The owner literally was reading our mines as we ate, he knew exactly what we needed. Victor and Chris made us feel welcome. We will forever return when we come back to visit the Cleveland area. Thanks for a great experience, sauce in the city, Team.
