Sauce on the Side may be quick, and take food and drink orders at the counter, but we are not the standard fast-casual restaurant. After ordering food and drinks, we invite our guests to enjoy a hospitable, full-service experience – food, refills and additional service is provided at the table without the guest having to get up from their seat. Our food is award-winning, craveable and comforting. We make our own dough, prepare our sauces and dressings in-house, chop fresh produce and source high quality meats and cheeses. All of this work, allows us to deliver food to be proud of.

So delicious, their calzones are pure perfection! Creative recipies with equally creative sauces make this a place that everyone can enjoy. We tried the Duke, the hot mother clucker, the Which came first, the Pancho Villa, and the kidzone pepperoni and all were simply amazing! The staff were super friendly and were happy to explain the menu a bit. They have beer on tap and clean glasses, if you know you know! Parking on the street was easy during lunch time. We’ll definitely be going back for more. Keep up the good work!

Found this hidden gem on gluten free finder app and it was worth the hype. We ordered the magic carpet ride calzone GF and it was amazing!! The calzones were very flavorful and the sauce that came with was delicious as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Price for serving was fair and we were stuffed. We went back several times while visiting the area for the weekend. 10/10 will be visiting again.

AMAZING place! I’m from out of state and we were looking for a place to eat and saw good reviews and decided to check it out. Great decision! The staff was so kind and patient with great recommendations. The food was incredible! And the drink fountain with pop all made locally was so fun! The black cherry was my favorite. I would love to go back here if I were to visit St. Louis again!

It’s sauce on the side! It’s a chain restaurant but it doesn’t feel like one, at least this location didn’t!
I got the MayFlower or something, it was pretty much grandma’s thanksgiving! Even the cranberries! The sauce was gravy. It was pretty good as a one time thing!
The Meat me in St. Louis was my favorite.
The Salami one was also good.
We got a Cesar salad and it was good and large!
The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is superb. Recommended.

NOM! They had so many varieties of calzones! Lots of unique options. We got 3 different ones to split between me and my 3 kids. My favorite was the meat! These are super filling as well stuffed with ricotta cheese! I didn’t know if my kids would enjoy them but I did get a plan cheese one for less than $5. It’s an awesome alternative to pizza. I would highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip to St. Louis.

. Don’t expect to be greeted and seated at this modern fast paced venue. Ordering is done at the counter in a fast food restaurant style and you can pick your seat. The dining area is spacious with multiple rooms the allow for small and large group seating arrangements. Tables are spread out nicely to create a clean, open and semi private feel to the dining experience. It’s doesn’t have a crowded feel considering the downtown store front location.
The menu is simple, offering salads and calzones – even dessert is calzones! This place has nailed the business model of do one thing and do it well! The crust is a pillowy dough that is kin to soft garlic knots. It’s good in its own as a delightful bread.
One of the surprising things about these delightful pizza pillows was the perfect balance of filling moisture that didn’t ruin the crust. Many times the calzones I’ve ordered have been unable to handle all the filling creating a wet and soggy bottom crust. This crust was sturdy and yet soft and pillowy
Meet me in St Louie was filled pepperoni, sausage and an amazingly rich/creamy cheese blend unlike any other calzone and by far my favorite! The hot mother clucker was stuffed with shredded buffalo chicken and a special blend to complement the buffalo seasoning – this was a great take on buffalo chicken. The kid-zone was filled with its own special cheese blend, that is different from the others we sampled.
