We dined at Satraj Indian Restaurant multiple times during our recent family trip to Vienna, and each experience was truly wonderful.
The food was consistently flavourful, fresh, and prepared just the way we like it. We had specific dietary preferences, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a smile — even adjusting the spice levels exactly to our taste.
A special mention to Mr. Gurmeet and Mr. Ranjit, who were incredibly courteous and helpful. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in Vienna. We will definitely return on our next visit!

The location is very close to the city centre. Garlic naan was superb – super soft and with perfect amount of garlic. Veg biryani was also very tasty. We also ordered a curry with some rice. Portion of the rice plate was quite big. Curry had generous amounts of cashews and almonds. It was creamy and tasted yummy. Staff was friendly. Thanks for the great service.

the food was suprisingly bland and also way too salty at the same time. could not finish my chili chicken dish. way too expensive for what you get, you have to pay extra 3,5e for the rice?? for this price i would suggest other, better indian restaurants in vienna. the service was very careless and the waiter did not seem vert friendly to us. also the interior is not very comfortable or inviting.

Went there because I was close and hungry and thought that Indian food might be what I need right now. Turns out: amazing staff that cares about you having a good time, super friendly and helpful.

I visited the restaurant on 18th July 2025 and found the overall experience quite disappointing. The food quality was below average, with the naan being particularly hard and difficult to eat. The ambience was very poor—less appealing than that of a basic tea stall in Dubai. Despite there being only two customers at the time, the waiter, who I believe was from Punjab, behaved as though he was extremely busy and showed little interest in serving us. His attitude was unprofessional and indifferent, which made the experience worse. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider hiring properly trained staff rather than individuals who seem to have spent most of their working life washing dishes and lack basic customer service skills.
