Chicken shawarma was good but small for the price. The baba ganouj was tasty when eaten with the beet picked radish. The kachapoori was cooked well. The three stars is for the lahmajun. On one hand it was delicious. On the other hand, it wasn’t finished baking before they packed it. I needed to bake it for almost 10 minutes when we got home.

Excellent laid back Mediterranean cafe. Some less common dishes available in the Mediterranean samplers. Also has more standard Greek deli food, hoagies, pizza, etc. Plenty of parking and seating. BIG portions, you won’t leave hungry…

I think someone messed up our order. We got the chicken kabob platter and This is not $17 worth of food ….it was def missing a few things. Including the usual veggies that come along with a kebob . And it seems like generally, for the price, you don’t get as much. However, the food tastes great. Just wish there was more of it.

Cute, no frills neighborhood place. we got there super early at 5 and were the only customers there.
The food was good and fresh, kids had chicken shawarma platter and husband had the Ruben sandwich, I had the gyro special. My favorite of everything was the garlic sauce.

Salad was really good. Portions are good too. Meats and rice could use more flavor, more lock and sauce would add variety and kick to it. White sauce was good flavor but was watered down feeling too much. Bread pits was fine. Overall good needs some upgrades to be great.

Oh my god!!! I love this place. Had the falafel sandwich and it was hands down the best I have ever had. Next time I will come back for a vegetarian burger and then the x-large pizza. Another customer got the pizza and it looked soooo good and it was HUGE. I also bought some cookies and the pistachio halawa. I am hooked. Can’t wait to go again. 5 stars is not enough. Oh and the owner is very cool and explained everything.

The service at Sasuns is always warm and caring. Thank you Vatche for always being so welcoming and going the extra mile to ensure clients get a great meal. This is a great restaurant for take out, but you can also eat indoors or outside on the deck. A personal favorite is the chicken shawarma; tasty, nicely seasoned with delicate spices, wrapped in a very thin warm flat bread. Exactly how it should be made and truly delicious. The hummus, falafel, and kibbeh are magnificent. The greek salad is always freshly made and quite generous. You can top it with chicken, gyro meat, or falafel. If you love meat, try the Whole Beef Kebab and savor the seasoning and quality of the filet. Vatche, the gentle owner, continues to surprise us with his delicious cuisine. We keep going back weekly. This cozy little restaurant is a hidden gem in Redland. Stop by – you’ll be happy you did. On Tuesdays chicken shawarmas are on special and on Thursday, the special is Gyro. Venture out a little and try the Falafel Sandwich. It won’t disappoint. It is crispy, nicely seasoned, and you can add yogurt sauce or tahini. There are also burgers, fries, and pizza on the menu. Parking is plentiful and located behind the restaurant.
