The best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to in Winnipeg! I’ve visited Thailand many times and the flavors here are just as authentic,rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. It’s also very vegetarian-friendly with lots of tasty options. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend!

4.5 stars. Tried a few different dishes like Pad Thai, Chiang Mai sausage, Yum Nua (beef salad), and Massaman curry. All wonderful dishes and prepared very well. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. The Chiang Mai sausage and Yum Nua were the stars though. Very cozy and in tucked away location. Easily missed but it was steady with takeout orders throughout dinner service. So prepare to wait or make a reso. Service at the table was very prompt and kind. The portions are on the smaller side but pretty common these days among all restos, but I will compare with other spots. Overall a great dining experience to celebrate our 16th anniversary and will be back.

I had the green curry at Sassy Thai, and it was easily one of the best curries I’ve had anywhere in the city. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of flavour with that perfect balance of coconut, herbs, and just the right amount of heat.
The veggies were fresh and vibrant (look at that broccoli and bell pepper!), cooked perfectly so they still had a little crunch. Every bite tasted bright, aromatic, and comforting. You can tell it’s made with care and authentic ingredients.

Girlfriend and I went here for the first time and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are super friendly, and the food was immaculate. We had the pad Thai, and the green curry. Very flavourful, great balance of flavours, and a great portion size as well. Would definitely recommend to come here. We will be back!

Tried Sassy Thai Restaurant today with a takeaway order. We got a beef Pad Thai, Fengang curry and extra jasmine rice. The food was so yum. Specially the Pad Thai was so rich and flavorful. They prepared everything really quickly too. Definitely worth trying if you really love Thai food.

This is an awesome spot!the restaurant is very cozy, I think there’s only about 8 tables in there seating 16-20 people. Our server is accommodating and has very good suggestions for the food since it was our first time.
We got the Crispy crab wontons, Pad Thai, Fried Rice, Mango Salad, Tom yum soup, appetizer sampler and beef curry. Everything was delicious and has that fresh taste to it. Fried rice had that “burnt” flavour from the very hot wok which was amazing.
My wife had such a wonderful time that she wants to come back right away. My kids also enjoyed their dining experience and they were able to try and enjoy new flavours.

Amazing food and service for affordable price. This was our first time trying Thai cuisine and we really enjoyed our experience. We have ordered vegetable spring rolls, Pad Thai with shrimp and Pad Kee Mao with chicken. Everything was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be coming back again to try other dishes they offer.
Pork in Hang Lay is just phenomenal. Really hope that they will add more pork dishes to their menu, as they definitely mastered the way to cook it.

The service was very quick and kind. We ordered the Pad Thai and Khao Sai and both were phenomenal. This would definitely be a spot I would come to over and over again. There were not very many tables and the place was pretty full during dinner. Might want to reserve a table. Meals are served family style with serving plates, very easy to try a few different dishes.

Was able to finally bring my wife here for dinner, place was almost fully reserved but luckily got a table for 2. There was a big group and since the place was small they came across as too loud. Ordered mango salad but unfortunately the mango was already almost ripe and not crunchy maybe should have opted for the papaya salad instead. Tom Kha Gai was just ok, the taste is definitely westernized and not authentic as claimed, could not really taste the galanggal or lemon grass and the coconut milk seem to be lacking. The Plad pad kra pao was good, enjoyed that very much though no holy basil flavor was coming through…..
I felt disappointed but maybe because my expectation was set high and perhaps it was just a bad day in the kitchen but I live on the opposite side of the city and I dont see myself driving 30mins for this.

Dropped by for lunch with a colleague because it was near a site we inspected and was pleasantly surprised, Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted and made to feel at home. the interior is simple, cozy and relaxing, the food is authentic Thai and my first few mouthfuls of the Pad Thai with their homemade chili garlic was very satisfying. Will definitely comeback with my wife and try more dishes.
