It can seat its patrons inside, or outside.
Service is attentive and personable.
Atmosphere is delightful!
Sitting outside is just a treat, with the breezy, balmy air, and palm trees surroundings.
Inside, jazzy music in the evening, or even live piano music, enchant the visitors.
Bar service is knowledgeable, and with great selection of drinks.
We had one dinner at the restaurant and a few breakfasts. All very nice.
The eggs, with bacon, fruit salad (or potatoes), and a biscuit (or toast) was the perfect combo!
Protein, fruit, a bit of starch – filling, but balanced and not heavy.
Fresh, hot coffee.
Very pleased with this charming place!
1- We had reservations so we were psyched to an amazing dinner
2- We reviewed the menu but were never informed the dinner was different for the occasion. Fair enough we anticipated it being magnificent.
3- the venue is located in the Hacienda hotel/ motel in downtown Newport Ritchie and I imagine the outdoor seating would be superb in the summer.
4- Picture shows the menu: appetizers scallops were blah. The onion soup ok, nothing special. The pasta Primavera was somewhat good but lacking taste and the finale flan !!! A flan is supposed to be extremely soft and not hard to even scoop a bite. It is not the pricing that threw us off but for $80 the dinner should have been AMAZING and when we asked for a cappuccino with desert they only had regular coffee..AND CHARGED US FOR IT !!!! THAT WAS THE TIPPING POINT.
As you can see, the place is somber, poorly decorated, uncomfortable seating. I would highly recommend you not waste your money, as First watch would be a much better choice had they opened at night ! Definitely not a return for us locals !
For our appetizer, we started our amazing meal with the Baked Camembert, warm Camembert cheese brushed with a sweet whiskey glaze and served with a demi baguette and seasonal fruit! For her entree, my Tuesday, Nadeene Stuart-Horak chose the Chicken & Mushroom Gnocchi, potato gnocchi and cremini mushrooms in a flavorful herb cream sauce topped with a crispy sliced chicken breast! My choice was the Grilled Pork Chop served with apple butter demi-glaze, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini! The Intercept Pinot Noir from California was the perfect compliment! Bon appetit!!
Compared to when we were there around 6 weeks ago, the entire experience was totally different and outstanding! The downtown area of New Port Richey was alive and vibrant! It was a ghost town when we were there in August. We enjoyed a stroll around the lake after our yummy meal and then went to a couple of different clubs that had live music. All of this within walking distance from the classic Hacienda Hotel!!
Emily is an asset to your establishment and I wish her a successful career.
Thank you Emily

Thank you, Ashley. We will be back for the fish & chips!
