Absolutely delicious. I found this place after an exam and was extremely hungry. I ordered the chicken chaufa and a side of tostones, and truly enjoyed the food. It is a small place, as others have mentioned. They have seating in the back, and I saw plenty of people coming in ordering take out. This place is a hidden gem for good Peruvian food.

My wonderful Peruvian friends brought me here today, 10/11/25, for my first Peruvian food experience, and it was phenomenal from the food to the staff and the amazing time I shared with my friends. I will remember this day forever. Thank you.

Absolutely delicious Peruvian food! Their rotisserie chicken and yuca fries are some of the best I have had. My husband also loves their lomo saltado. The arroz con pollo comes with the most delicious rice. The service is attentive.

I visited this location mid-July 2025. The place was very welcoming with minimal décor. I ordered the half chicken with the Chaufa rice and the vegetables. The food was okay. However, when I warmed up my food later, I noticed a part of my chicken was not cooked all the way. It was pink. I threw it out immediately as I didn’t want to get sick from consuming the chicken. I give this restaurant 3 stars for how polite they were and how attentive they were. This is a tiny place I’m not sure if It’ll work for larger parties or you may just need it to yourself. The prices were very reasonable. The restaurant accepts both card and cash. I arrived by car so I’m unsure what public transportations options are near by. Being from NYC I’ve had Peruvian food before. I would not return to this place.

We were just in town for a wedding and found this spot. I can definitely say it’s one of the best Peruvian restaurants we’ve been to! No frills, just authentic Peruvian food at very reasonable prices. Everything we had was so good. Their cilantro sauce was the bomb!

There are some good Peruvian Food spots in Port Chester. This little place might be the best one yet! It’s a hidden gem on a busy Regent Street. You can’t go wrong with any of the food options here. Their Chaufa though, is hands down, the best in this area!! Come try this little “Peruvian Joint” out as it doesn’t disappoint at all.

Big portions, I didn’t like the lamb stew dish I ordered but the pork with sweet potato fries was better. Their dishes are somewhat different from Peruvian cooking this is more like westernized. I ordered a different dish than usual thinking I’d like the meat but no. Usually I order rotisserie or chaufa.

The best Peruvian Restaurant I’ve ever had so far!
Saru is a cozy Peruvian Restaurant that serves classic Peruvian fare.
I ordered the fish ceviche and its one of the best ceviches I’ve had in a while. They interplay textures – the soft buttery fish topped with popped corn kernels. Its a masterpiece of a dish and you can clearly taste and see that they thought about how to make and present the dish.
I also ordered the lomo saltado and it was perfect. Its delicious, savory, salty and flavorful. You cant go wrong ordering this dish because it will leave you satisfied.
Of course I had to order the Peruvian Roast Chicken. And for me, this is the most bang for your buck meal that you can have. They serve massive portions of that chicken (even though I only ordered half) then served with french fries, salad and that green Peruvian sauce.
When you are hungry and in portchester, NY come visit this place. You will leave full and satisfied.
